Is this actress who played an ugly girl in a movie actually unattractive?

This actress played in a movie whereby her character was not meant to be pretty. What do you think, is she prettier than what the movie portrayed her as, or did they choose a good actress for the role? Is it just that she's slightly overweight that she's unattractive, or is her face average as well?

They never pick ugly people for main character ugly roles. Same problem with the play phantom of the opera. Or ready player one movie. There's a character supposed to be noticeably, badly disfigured. They just put a little spot or line or something on their face instead. It's kinda insulting to both people who have minor scars or marks like that (calling them hideous) and to people who are actually very disfigured or seen as hideous irl (saying they're too ugly to even be represented properly). It bugs me.

She's okay looking overall.. I wouldn't call her pretty or anything more like a close to a bland ordinary looking woman.. Not unattractive though.. She wouldn't be the first example of the trope of getting a pretty woman to play some nerdy ugly chick.

Amy Schumer is a 5 in looks and a 1 in personality. That overall makes her a 4, which is still pretty ugly in my eyes. Hell, personality is worth double than looks to me, so really, that makes her a 2 out of 10, to me.

She's a hypocrite, not funny (not even for a woman), steals jokes for her stand-up "comedy," makes bad movies, has tried to cancel SEVERAL people, is woke AF, and slept her way to the lower-middle (not the top) of Hollywood.

She was (artificially) "popular" in the early to mid 2010s and her reputation has become so well known, that her career in Hollywood (other than sleeping with powerful agents and execs) is pretty much over, as no one likes her or wants to work with her.

Yes, Amy Schumer is a pretty "ugly" person.

In the first picture, yes she was unattractive. Definitely below average.

Looks like she lost a lot of weight for second picture and I think she's average now.

The weight itself isn't the only reason for the unatteactiveness I assigned in first picture. It's also because she showed she was capable of managing her weight by the fact that she lost said weight. But the fact that she let it get to the state she did in the first place plays a big role too. Her lazyness at the time was unattractive.

Big studio motion pictures don’t have time for average looking or otherwise people who failed to exceed the baseline for conventional beauty standards. Even a character who was meant to be ugly was not properly cast in this instance.
