I always go with nude, but it also depends on your skin tone. I have a fair skin tone, so pink nudes go well with mine and make my nails look shiny. Pastel colors look good too. I avoid bold colors.

(Purple looks awful on everyone and brown is just meh.. black looks cool. Red is OK, but depends on the shade of the polish. There are different shades of red.)

Personally, I would never wear bold polishes and that includes red, but that is only because I'm too paranoid about people noticing it and making fun of it... and yes, I'm paranoid, in general.

The color is very pretty though. I would pair it with a beautiful crimson or red colored dress! It would look beautiful.
