Girls, how much are you willing to invest in your beauty? Time, money, pain etc?

(this is more theoretical for me since my parents pay for everything. also if your American dollars = euros exactly, so you dont need to convert or anything)

• nails: not that much. nailpolishes cost like 3-6 euros on average (i wouldn't buy the more expensive ones since i dont have money) so multiply that times 5-6 for all the main shades i'd do my nails. so total like about 40-50 euros for about 2 years since nailpolish goes bad. also add like 15 euros for nailstickers (i like putting some on sometimes. the sheets should last also about as long as the nailpolishes). add also about 30-50 euros for fake nail packs (usually only get them once in a while for like 3-5 euros a pack on shein. ideally would spend as much as i said to get a bunch at once, wouldn't be willing to spend more than that). i'd never pay to get them done professionaly for just nail polish that's a waste of money. only would for fake ones at high end places so they will last for at least two-three weeks. could do that for both feet & hands on a semi regular basis. wouldn't if it's higher than 120 euros total per session
• hair: if i want to get it cut unless it's just trimming the ends i'd go to a higher end salon. wouldn't get anything that would cost me total more than 170 euros. or else wouldn't want to be pay more than 50 euros for just trimming. am willing to invest up to 200 euros for higher end hair products (like shampoo, conditioner, heat protectant) for a whole year. wouldn't pay more than 80 euros per styling tool (like blowdryer, straightener). for hair ties, hair accessories, per year could go up to 150
• makeup: per year could go up to 300 euros if i decide to get high end stuff and actually replace everything when i'm supposed too (makeup expires)
• skin care: could go up to 500 euros a year. i only get higher end stuff and i use a lot of stuff on a daily basis, i also love one time use stuff like masks and stuff expires/you run out quickly for some stuff, so i'd definitely use a lot of money for that
• fashion: realistically most of my money would go to clothes, accesories and stuff. per year that would be in the thousands, so basically willing to invest a lot
• body: would also pay for a regular gym membership (probably about 40 euros for a year) and some other type of sports class (could go up to 250). also maybe about 100 for sunscreen, 100 for skin lotion per year, self tanner (50), shaving/waxing 100

for time if i dont go out i spend maybe about 40 minutes a day not counting showers. if i go out it's more like 1h-1h30. can be up to a couple hours at times for maintenance, when i got an event or i'm really taking my time

Thank you very much for this detailed answer. My curiosity arose after a discussion about manicures. Telling me that girls from the west don't spend more than 1 hour at the salon. While some deeper actions can last up to 2:30, but after a complex intervention you have durability and superior quality.
Easterns seem to prefer this while Westerns do not.

Mani & pedi I do at home, myself, I prefer a more natural but clean fresh look.
Hair I also do at home, no expensive hair treatments needed.
Cosmetics - I don't wear much makeup, in fact no foundation, like ever. Don't feel like I need it.

I think I'm pretty low maintenance in this tbh :D

I ask this because my mother and sister work in beauty fields and notice a major difference between western and eastern culture.
They consider that girls from western culture waste more money and time on very superficial maintenance compared to those from the east. While girls from the east go about 1 a month or 6/7 weeks for maintenance and generally pay less for a more durable and better quality work.

That is definitely true but the east is slowly but surely getting "westernized".

In beauty not at all. For example in East you can't finde from 20 yares ago acrylic for your nails, evrething is made whit gel. Witch mean as a girl, you need to stay like 2h or 2h 30min for that beautyful work.
In this time (December) all the salons are 100% full in case you want to get ready for an event and you can't finde a place since November.
