Has anyone lost their bikini?

I've only ever had my bikini slip but I've heard some horror stories about people losing their bikinis at the beach or the pool.

Has this ever happened? or is it just urban legends?

I have never lost it at a beach, as I do not live near the ocean. I have lost it a few times, literally lost it, I'll explain that last part later.

As a teen I went to the water park a lot, this one particular slide was steep fast and you'd start feet first but it was twisty to and on one of the turns I flipped forward... when I came out at the bottom I stood up and had no bottom on.

The person at the bottom, came over with a towel and I wrapped it around me. Then proceeded to search for the bottom, which was stuck in a drain to get it back to me.

It was not uncommon on this slide, I saw boys lose their suit if they flipped around and it get pulled down and off them too. They'd come out with nothing on.

This was the place people (mostly teens) would stand at the bottom to watch everyone come out.

Another time there was this tight rope walk, we had a rope to hold onto up high and had floaty things on the water, we could walk on that would move. We'd try to make it across a pool, if we slipped we'd fall into the pool.

A boy got too close to me, slipped and on his way down in a panic he grabbed my bottom and took it with him. I let myself fall immediately afterwards so no one really saw, that I am aware of.

Intentional or not, he was bright red when he realized what was in his hand.

Another time when water skiing with the family, we were going extra fast and I hit a wave and fell and lost my entire suit. Never did find it, hence I lost it for good.

There have been times too, when I was swimming in a lake and would take my suit off to skinny dip and hold it, but this one time I lost it... it slipped out of my hand and got taken out with some waves. Never did find it.

How did you feel at the time? I personally would have been SO panicky and embarrassed!

The water slide time I was very panicked. Like a deer in headlights panic, very unexpected and I just froze for everyone at the bottom to see as I wasn't sure what to do. Every time I think back to that, I rehash it in my head, like why didn't I duck down into the water, why did I just stand there, but that is rational calm me, not I just came out and didn't even realize I lost it until I stood up.

My brain had panic brain I guess, where it freezes and needs to reboot or something.

My family is really open about nudity and it has never been a big deal. They saw me all the time growing up, I would play in the dirt or mud nude, or the canal. When I lost it while water skiing, it wasn't a big deal. Even the boat ride back where I had no suit, no big deal. I feel safe around them. I did get lectured about how I should wear a one piece in the future though.

The lake, it was in the evening and I just stayed in the water until it got dark then got out and air dried, then got dressed in my street cloths. An extra hour or so in the water, to avoid any creeps on shore that might do who knows what.

Oh no! I know what you mean by panic freezing, it must have been super awkward when you realised that people could see your butt and front.

That's fair I've always been quite self conscious and shy about nudity myself.

I know it was an accident but I would have been so mad at that guy at the lake, maybe even tried to get him back

I've had my trunks come down when I've been on a water slide too but thankfully I managed to pull it back up my legs before I stood up.

It must have sucked to be completely bottomless like that! did you notice that your bottoms had slipped off before you stood up or not?

In high school, girls use to talk about their tops coming up or off when they would go down the steep long slide. Boys use to stand at the bottom and watch.

We had a similar slide at our local water park, we all had to be careful and we heard horror stories about girls who'd lost their tops.

There was a thing like that at the water park near us, it wasn't a slide it was like a waterfall bucket that emptied when it got full. I remember when our class went there at the end of term for a party that the guys would always wait and see if it got any of us girls... I think one girl was under it once and it might have shifted her top but nothing major probably.

I bought one of my best friends A prank bikini that dissolves after about a minute of being submerged. It began to malfunction and fall apart pretty quickly at the public pool. A lifeguard saved her with a towel and later she thanked me for getting to live out her “saved by a lifeguard” fantasy.

She didn’t know. I told her it was my friends new swimsuit company and she was trying to promote them… I knew she’d think it was funny, after the fact. Also, I wasn’t sure it would even work. They make them for guys as well !

On one of the Spanish islands holidays the hotel had an East-German woman with - I am guessing - an ill-fitting bikini? Because every few waves she lost either the top part or the bottom part. Her friend then had to recover them. Fun times.

That’s why I mentioned East-Germany, they have a long history of nudity culture, with nude beaches, nude saunas and group changing rooms. If it really had bothered her, she wouldn’t let it have happened twenty times in a row… 😂😉

I ruined a girl’s birthday party like that in high school lol. She had a pool party and invited a bunch of people from school, me and my friends ended up crashing it, we had normal clothes on, and she asked us to leave since we weren’t invited. So after we got kicked out we decided if we can’t have fun then she’s defintely not going to, so my friends dared me to do something to her. I waited until she was around a big group of boys then I ran up behind her and pulled her bottoms down in front of them and flashed her bare butt and vagina. She got super embarrassed and pulled them back up then I just untied them on both sides and yanked them up in the air over my head to keep them away from her so literally everyone saw her bare white butt and was laughing while she was trying to get them back from me. We still ended up leaving but totally ruined her birthday party for her lol

Raging Waters in San Dimas, Ca was a normal occurrence. I swear those young so-callef lifeguards were at the bottom of those slides just for the show. It happened to me a few times, and I know it happened to my friends as well.

I once literally lost my bikini when I was on holiday in florida. Me and my family were on the beach and at the end of the day me and my two younger sisters were changing out of our bikinis back into our clothes... We were each holding up towels around each other
