There are a crap load of videos of women on the wave rider on a cruise ship. The power of the waves sucks the suit right off. The guy manning the ride holds up a boogie board to shield the woman. The whole time cameras are rolling. Clearly that is an accident. I don't think anyone would get ticketed for indecent exposure.

But there are children and families nearby who are not willing to look at a young woman's naked booty, whether it's on purpose or accidental. Only the ride operator would help her, probably seen it many times, but what about the security? Wouldn't somebody tell the authorities that there's a bottomless woman? And would they give a damn if it was a total accident?

Most officers I know would not arrest the girl under these circumstances. If you were a guy, much more likely. I know a teenage girl who lost her bottoms in the ocean. She was lucky, as family was around and brought a towel to her.

In your first post, you didn't say it was a natural disaster. That would make an arrest very unlikely. However, for regular situations, I'm sure some officers would arrest a guy, and fewer for the girl. If you get to know police, some are very good and understanding, and there are some who are simply so rigid in personality, so rigid when it comes to the law, they would arrest a person described in your first post.

Makes sense. It's just that there are some stories of girls having their bikini bottoms either pulled down to their knees/ankles or completely off their body by some waves at the beach, and they still got thrown in jail for public nudity. Despite them running around the beach embarrassed appalled and bottomless (one hand on their crotch and the other on their rear) and begging for a towel, the cops would be skeptical and arrest them, only telling them to "get a bathing suit that fits." Like you said, most officers are reasonable and would understand the whole situation, but there are a minority that take their jobs too seriously and even jump to conclusions. They'd often arrest someone who's naked on purpose, right?

How would guys be more likely to get in trouble if they lost their swim trunks in public though?

Guys would more easily be thought of as perverts, thus more likely arrested. A naked guy on a beach probably is more likely a pervert.

I know a girl who has big boobs, and while in the ocean with big waves, her top was knocked way down, and she didn't realize it at first. An older male friend told her, and then turned away. She was embarrassed, but not as much as I thought she would be. These kinds of things happen, and might as well just take it in stride, and not get too embarrassed.
