Have you ever done something that made you feel famous, or a model?

So I turned 21 a few months ago and went to Vegas. I hired a driver to drive me everywhere, and got dressed up and felt like a model.

I felt so pretty it rare i dress up and i was posing like i was a model🤣

yeah i know I'm far from a model, and don't really fill out the dress with my skinny mini body, but yeah I still felt amazing and enjoyed this moment.

I used to rap a little back when I was your age, just with a couple of friends who were more serious and recorded albums. Kind of on some other, other, OTHER underground shit, not really my first choice in style, but it gave me an outlet to just be a little creative. I’m kind of into witty punchlines that might be a little absurd at times, so it was probably right for me, even if I prefer other styles of instrumentals and hooks and overall vibe, haha. So I recorded a few songs with them, and I’d come to a lot of shows they’d do at bars, and go up on stage for a few songs as a guest MC. That was fun, and they had their little crowd of fans, so we’d at least be playing for like 20 people😂 But some nights it was a packed bar and people who didn’t know you would see you perform. Once in a while people would come up to me after I got offstage and tell me I was good, so that was fun, minor taste of faux-fame.

But a couple times, we got the call-up to The Show, and this local venue asked us to open for some traveling acts. We opened up for a group called Blackalicious (RIP Gift Of Gab, very cool guy and a RIDICULOUS MC), and played in the downstairs sweatbox of the big local live music venue, probably 250 people or so. That was so cool, opening for someone who you’ve heard of and people around the country have heard of, albeit more underground.

But THEN, a couple months after that, we got to open up in the big ballroom upstairs, in front of probably close to a thousand people, and maybe even more. And this time artist was KRS-One, which probably means nothing to you, but in the 90s, he had a whole record label, Boogie Down Productions, he was a pretty big star, and kind of a pioneer of maybe not old-school, but “middle-school” rap, if you will, like early 90s, and he still had new music coming out in the early 2000s. So that was just a surreal moment. Obviously they’re not here to see us and have no idea who we are, lmao, but you still experience the visual. The crowd was a little cold, just like the usual coldness to an opener, but there wasn’t a “get these guys the hell off the stage” vibe, and they got increasingly warm. I was up there the whole time just hype-manning, and then we did a few songs I was a guest on at the end, and I saw some guys in the crowd going “ohhhhh!!!” to some of my punchlines, and that was a great feeling. Then the last song was kind of an in-state local anthem type of song, so people started to really get into that, big hook to it, all that, got some oohs and ahhs on my verse, and we left stage with the crowd dancing to the outro and got some applause, and I just felt like a superstar for that fleeting moment. Annnnndddddd then KRS came out and reminded me why he makes the big pesos and we play in dive bars in Western Massachusetts, lmfao. But I saw the show for free, so that was just a bonus win, haha.

After buy a healthcare product, in Mission Viejo, the girl I bought from asked me if I would like to be in a newspaper ad for the company, and I of course, said yes. They sent a photographer to my home, and took 30 photos, after setting up, in my living room, and the company picked several and I was in the LA Times and the Orange County Register for about six months. My boss put my newspaper photos on the wall in the break room. My 15 minutes of fame LOLOL The ad was for prescription sun glasses.

Aye you was rockin it! I went to vegas in sweats and a hoodie 😂 I walked everywhere up and down the strret but at least some randoms and bartenders hit on me 🤣 I couldnt feel my feet for months after. I did dressup one night and walked about an hour in heels. Then i fell in front of traffic and the drunks laughed at me 🤣😩 but hey Vegas was still fun and i met some great people. Also live bar fights was pretty cool to watch. I’m trying to head back this year so i can see Usher perform

Well many years ago. I was actually very famous.

Back in the day CB Radios were the king of wireless communications, this is before cellphone made it big.

Everyone know me, my house and everything about me.

All because of my voice on the radio, I was known for a good part of the USA and Canada

If your between 40 and 70 and into the CB radio back then. You might know who I am.

I also been on TV and Radio for my CB stuff.

When I say I was famous, I really was famous back then

For me. I have never tried going famous but growing up my brothers were all huge. And as I grew to be an adult I started feeling the part too that everywhere we go as a family my mom looks like someone famous in her onterage of bodyguards.

I’ve been on the news twice. Also, the spelling bee in my middle skool was celebrated. So getting runner up twice in a row kind of made me feel like a star. Kids i was certain didn’t know my name started talking to me and high-fiving me in the hallways. Ell oh ell!

In high school, I was lead guitar and vocals in local rock bands. Even kids from other schools knew about me and I had some loyal followers.

I continued to play in bands and do some gigs up to my early 30s. I got back into it from 2005-2020 until the covid hysteria hit, and I played some pretty fun gigs during that time.

Applause and compliments feel great. And it's nice to be respected by other musicians.

That doesn't even qualify as famous, but it kinda felt like it at times. LOL

Back when I was in high school someone on my football leaked that I was a freshman taking AP calculus. After that everyone regarded me as basically a celebrity.

My SO and I hired a stretched limousine to drive the two of us to and from the airport for one of our vacations. It was a matter of convenience. (Our luggage wouldn't fit in either of our cars.) It was only on the return trip that we realized the attention we were getting from those awaiting the shuttle buses.

i grew up in Hollywood and i work for a famous person so i see how people are around fame all the time without having to be the target of it myself. there is a good part to it and a lot of not-so-good
