I would try to not look upset or annoyed in front of them.
Also I might say to them “I was thinking the same thing about you.”

Not recently but I have been called ugly before in the past.
I have been called pretty more than ugly though in my life.
I personally don’t love the way I look but it’s not terrible and I’m not depressed. I have also never really struggled landing the guys I liked.
