How long do I leave protective styles in?

I'm a black girl and my question is after I shampoo, condition, mask and oil my hair then put my protective style In, do I take them out whenever it's time for me to do my hair routine then put them back in or no?

Do what looks and feels good for you, everyone’s hair and head is different even curly hair (mine is naturally but I don’t keep it that way because it’s too high maintenance for my life).
