Styling pleated skirt?

I have few pleated skirt and i need a top wear for them can't decide if pleated skirt looks nice with shirt or a simple black top.. all my pleated skirt goes best with black color topwear so it has to be black shirt or black simple top

If you are wearing this to work then go with the Business white Ann Taylor type shirt. If you are going out socializing then probably the plaint and straight line simple top.
