Do you believe objectively attractive is a thing?

Objective means something that is factually true. I think attraction is always opinion based. Not objective.

One time I saw another female user write on a question “objectively he is an 8” but I personally thought the man in the picture was a 6 at most.

Eh... I think there are definitely people out there that have features that enough people agree are attractive that we can just consider that as objectively attractive as we're gonna get.

At that point, you're making a distinction without consequence though. You could theoretically argue that a majority opinion is still just an opinion, but scientists who studied this stuff have broken it down mathematically. As in, there are ratios of human physical perfection. Even if we say that finding that ratio attractive is still just an opinion; the fact it's been mathematically calculated with such consistency takes away that undefinable element of opinions.

Attraction isn't universal or measurable. Sometimes it's not even repeatable. You might find someone attractive one day and not the next.

attraction is largely subjective but there are objective measures that can be used to quantify someone's level of attractiveness for example height is an objective measure, so is body fat percentage, shoulder width, angle of jawline etc.

a 6'3 Brad Pitt will be seen as more attractive than a 5'8 Brad Pitt

it's universally agreed that pre-surgery Zac Efron is more attractive than post-surgery Zac Efron

some opinions are so popular they might as well be a fact. no woman is ever gonna wanna choose Joseph Merrick over Michael B Jordan just like vanilla ice-cream tastes and smells better than dogshit

as far as men's attraction is concerned, there's too much variety in what men find attractive and this could enter a lot into abnormal territory

Yes I think it's subjective. I find Henry Cavill so handsome and my mum called him "the ugliest man ever". I couldn't believe it. A few users on GaG have said he's not that good-looking. I mean even he has haters so there's no hope for anyone else

I think “not that good looking” means they think he is good looking but not to a very high degree.

depends on the person, some person can be attractive as a fact while the other not.

This also includes being unattractive but yes you’re right most is not objective
