Why do most guys wear some sort of facial hair nowadays?

• Socially acceptable in pretty much all circles nowadays, even just about all work environments (do any have rules against?).
• Convenient. Most guys don't want to have to do more grooming than is absolutely necessary. Although some will do whatever is necessary to look their best.
• It's easier on the skin, less drying.
• A whole bunch of us females love it. Not full beard, but some stubble, 5:00 shadow, or short beard. It makes most men look more rugged, masculine, sexy, and can hide skin imperfections, or disguise a cleft chin or softer jawline.

I don't really like beards tbf but a well trimmed line up like where they connect the sideburns to the chin (trimmed very low) or a 5 o'clock shadow is very appealing/sexy

Beards mostly look good, thats it. 5 o'clock shadow is my favourite. I like that it is scratchy.

Not all men look best with a beard tho. Sometimes beards are grown out to hide an imasculine face, because they hide weak chin, jawline or fat neck. Masculine looking men mostly do not benefit from big beard because it hides his good features.

I guess facial hair is just popular right now I mean personally I don't like facial hair I don't really know why though I mean my boyfriend is getting a little facial hair but its not that noticeable since he has blonde hair

I've worn a full set since my late 20's, unless I'm working on a job where I have to use breathing apparatus, for me shaving has never been comfortable.

Have had a full beard for 45 years. 43 of them my beard was fairly short. Now have a big beard and have gotten more compliments on it then ever before from both men and women.

When I have it, it is purely due to laziness (not wanting to shave). The women I have been with haven’t ever been fans of facial hair.

Facial hair in form of beard or 5 o'clock shadow etc have been there for some time. I think Top Gun Maverick has broight the trend of a moustache.
