Short skirt is pretty when showing beautiful legs. But when the length goes shorter than mid-thigh, the thickness of upper thighs would enlarge the whole body shape. I avoid wearing shorter than mid-thigh to cover up my con and only leave my pro to other people to see. So for me , the best skirt length is mid-thigh.

A lot depends on the person's body, the rest of the outfit, and the occasion. Personally I think knee length looks good on most people. A lot of people look good with a length of slightly above the knee. Mini and micro look good to me on some people, especially younger women.
