When buying clothing, do you buy a full outfit or a specific clothing item?

I almost always buy a specific item, a shirt, pants, underwear or socks. Only if my SO is with me to act as fashion coordinator might I get an outfit. Since my SO does not like to go shopping, that's very rare.

Most of our clothes shopping is done online anyway.
