Are women getting taller?

I was walking in the high street/town centre in my city. I am 5'10. I went to a few shops. Did some shopping. I noticed a lot of women taller than me. I counted too. I walked past or came across 22 women taller than me.

Did you check for heels? I'm 6'2 and run across some who LOOK taller, but almost every one of them has had some serious heels on her shoes or boots.

Yes i did. I am very observant. They had either flats. Sandles or joggers/trainers. I myself was wearing joggers. So if she was wearing joggers, chances are our heights were increased by 2-3 cm but she was still taller than me.

Wow. I see a lot of women close to 6', but rarely taller than I am.

According to pretty much every movie or show with a high school in it that I have seen, they’ve actually gotten smaller. Or maybe they’re just growing slower.

I'm 5'10. That isn't short. Surely 5'10 isn't below average. And i would not expect to see so many women who i would need to look upto to talk. Sure its 22 amongst maybe 100 thousand people but it does stand out for me.
