What are your overall opinions on plastic surgery?

It can be a miracle for people who are disfigured, such as from accidents or mastectomies or when a woman wants breast reduction. Even things like neck tightening and boob lifts can be justifiable.

But I find it disturbing how many young women these days want to modify their bodies, with boob jobs, BBLs, lip fillers, cheek implants, and whatever in pursuit of some commercial image of perfection.

The results are usually grotesque. Plus I wouldn't want to be with someone who was fake. Give me a woman who is comfortable in her own skin and has high self esteem.

Body dysphoric disorder - "A mental illness involving obsessive focus on a perceived flaw in appearance.
The flaw may be minor or imagined. But the person may spend hours a day trying to fix it. The person may try many cosmetic procedures or exercise to excess.
People with this disorder may frequently examine their appearance in a mirror, or constantly compare their appearance with that of others."

I think that plastic surgery rarely makes people more attractive, unless they had some serious deformity beforehand. To me it usually looks sort of fake.

Obviously people can do as they wish with their bodies, but I don't like it

In some very serious situations which have a HUGE negative impact may be when plastic surgeries are fine, but the amount of normal people wanting to do it nowadays just is unsettling and unnecessary. The idea of wanting to look perfect just means people lack self-confidence in themselves and their natural beauty.

My knowledge of people is that around 80% of those who can afford it will get it. I've met people who had it in at least 3 or 4 different places. It's something people hide out of embarrassment but its done by large populations of people. I even know very poor people who get it.

Too broad to have an overall opinion, there's so many different types of plastic surgery. I'd love to have a breast reduction (they also lift and reshape them in the process so there's a huge cosmetic element). Not bc I don't like my boobs but my back fkn hurts. Obviously I'd never put fake ones in but I also don't know what it's like to not have any so who am I to judge? And tbh if I could have my stretch marks removed sign me tf up for that too.

i see well either ways this doesn't count as plastic surgery considering that a breast deduction is removing tissue i think and not implanting plastic in any way or form, so if im not mistaken i think that counts as normal surgery 🤣

I mean tbf a tummy tuck is also just removing and not really adding, "plastic surgery" became a blanket term for cosmetic procedures even though that doesn't make a lot of logical sense.

these all just seem like surgeries, everything that remains is still natural but the only thing that sucks about these is that i have heard they can go wrong somehow and lets not forget the scars of course, i know people get self conscious about scars.

I understand it and I've had it myself for medical reasons and also for appreance. Most people who do plastic surgery make really small, realistic changes that doesn't ad anything abnornal to them. Its mostly famous people that go crazy lol.

Well I did for medical reason that also changed the apperance which makes it plastic surgery.

But it is also a form of self love. Like maybe if you have a nose that is missformed you can fix it

I had a labia motoria surgery. Basiacally means they cut off some part of my inner labia and sew it up and keep the rest, they dont add anything. Although there were only 1 cm out before they dry up which makes it higher risk for bacteria and its uncomfortble. But it looks much much better now too. I would never let anyone see me naked before it did it. But there is still a lot left I need done...

im no doctor but labia and bacteria in the same sentence sound very dangerous so im glad you got your surgery and managed to fix everything you had to fix and im glad your confidence grew as well, now when it comes to clit lift, i have no idea what it is, i didn't think it was possible for surgeons to move clits around but what wow, society has really gotten smarter, either ways i appreciate you sharing your story 😁💯

Clit lift is basciaclly when you pull the skin tighter to make it look less wrinkly. Its 100% natrual and doesn't add anything. But there is still stuff i need to do😣🤣😭
