Is 50 dollars for a haircut reasonable?

So i went to a new barber yesterday had 35 dollars in my pocket thinking it would be enough. Finally when it was my turn i asked how much it was for a basic haircut. The barber said 50. I was like i only got 35. He then says he could do it for 40. I told i didn't have it. Then i left. Do you think 50 is a reasonable price for a basic hair cut?

Honey. My boyfriend pays around 20 bucks for a trim without tip. When i went to the salon i got charged around $60 for layers and curtain bangs. He is definitely overcharging, go to a new barber.

Im going to a different one that charges 22 for a cut. It just seems crazy that a basic haircut costs that much. I remember paying 5 dollars for a haircut as a kid. But that was 30 years ago.

It is a lot my boyfriend goes like once a month so that definitely racks up a hefty bill. So $240 a year.

That sounds like too much for a guy’s haircut. For a woman’s hairstyle, that sounds like a normal price.

I haven't paid to get my hair cut in years. The last time I paid it cost me $12 for a wash, cut and blow dry
