you should wash your face once or twice a day (once if your skin is dry, or you dont really wear makeup. twice if your skin is oily or you wear makeup). you can wash it more often than that if you heavily sweated at some point during the day, but its better to use micellar water to gently cleanse your face because cleanser are too abrasive. moisturize twice a day (before moisturizing your face needs to be humid, never dry. and you need to gently massage it in), and exfoliate once a week or once every two weeks depending on your skin type (if its oily once a week, dry once every two weeks). when you wash your face you should always wash your hands first and only use lukewarm water. dont rub to hard be gentle but firm and make sure all the cleanser or product has been removed each time. when you go outside you should use a good sunscreen even if its winter, if your black or dark skinned should be at least 30 spf, if your fair skinned should be 50spf. make sure its broad spectrum. you shouldn't use any more products that a cleanser ( or micellar water instead of cleanser at times), moisturizer, sunscreen, and an exfoliating product, unless you have a skin problem. you dont need 100 of products, its a myth that companies are trying to make you believe so you give them $$$ any dermatologist worth their shit will tell you the same. more products make your problems worse in the end, prematurely age you, and damange your skin. less is more.
for your body you actually need to use lotion twice a day on your whole body and at least once a week exfoliate everything in the shower. when you shower you should also use lukewarm water, cold water closes your pores, hot water dehydrates and damages your skin. you should ideally apply the lotion right after showering to trap the moisturize from the shower in your skin
aside from that for really good skin you need to have some healthy lifestyle behaviors. you need to get enough water everyday, but you dont need like 3L a day. you only need 1L provided you have enough fruits and veggies (most of our 3L a day comes from food, you dont need to actually drink all that unless your fasting), you should eat healthy or at least take vitamins (and avoid too much sugary or industrial foods, it can cause acne and inflammation), exercise regularely a couple days a week (its essentially for healthy skin), avoid smoking, drinking, and you also need to get your beauty sleep everyday (if you dont sleep enough its very bad for your skin), avoid stress (stress damages your skin), avoid touching your face with dirty hands, avoid sleeping on the side unless your pillow case is very clean
also you should try to figure out your skin type (you can have dry, oily, combination (its when part of your face generally your t zone: forehead, nose, chin, cheeks, are oily and the rest is dry), sensitive (if it tends to get irritated and red easily), normal (not perticular problems, not really sensitive, dry or oily), mature (if your older). you can also have a blend especially if you have sensitive skin) and if you have any skin concerns and based on that you want to pick your products wisely. some are formulated for some skin types, not for others. also recommend not get low quality drug store products, recommend parapharmaceutical or dermatologist tier products like from brands like la roche posay, bioderma, ducray, avène, pierre fabre, biopharma
Definitely research the products, and finding out your skin type!
It might take some trial and error because everyone’s skin is so different. But getting the following and using them in this order:
Cleanser
Toner
Serum (day/night)
Eye Cream
Moisturizer (day/night)
Sunscreen
You’ll want to get a good exfoliating too, usually done once a week or as needed. (:
Good facial cleanser, good facial exfoliator, good facial moisturizer.
Oatmeal bar soap for exfoliating.
Olive oil soap for cleansing
Coconut oil or aloe vera gel for moisturizing.
I've read that cucumber slices under the eyes can help you get rid of dark circles.

Look up ingredients before buying products. You don’t want anything that has alcohol, perfumes, pore clogging ingredients etc. Stay away from bullshit like st ives and clean and clear. I’d also suggest finding out what skin type you have (dry, normal, combination) it will help narrow down products you should give a try. I personally like CeraVe and the reviews from dermatologists were good
I use Micellar water.
Wipe off and wipe away my day and night. I use a cotton pad, not a ball.
Saturate the pad and wipe all over the face, hair line, eyes, nose creases and all over the cheek chin and jaw line. Even some sweeps on the neck. I don’t rinse it off or anything. It hydrates my face and removed yucky dirt and oils.
Something simple. Wash your face everyday, don't go to bed with makeup, moisturizer in the AM and PM and SPF every morning. Weekly masks according to your skin type. I personally like to wear a serum before my moisturizer and eye cream and lip balm.
I follow dr. Dray online.
She has the BEST advice.
Cleanser, moisturizer, sun protection.
i say wait to use chemicals on face until age 35 and almost no makeup.
dont stress, take vitamin c tablets, drink 1 litre of water 1 day.
You should wear SPF daily, snail mucin serum is good but some people might be allergic to that, vitamin C, double cleansing, moisturizing serums and creams
- micellar water
- facial wash
- toner
- moisturizer
- serum
- sunscreen
- face scrub (1-2 times a week)
Glycolic acid for glow (the inkey lift has an amazing toner with it) , niacinamide, hyloronic acid (can't spell it)(can get both from the ordinary), clean moisturiser
I dunno, I’ve never had acne and all I do is drink water, wash my face and moisturise
use basic skincare - cleansers (oil &/ water), toner, moisturiser for beginners. it really depends on your skin condition and type.
