Would you allow your son to wear a speedo to the beach?

Speedo has become synonymous with swim briefs, especially when talking about men's swimwear.

Yup. Was a comp. swimmer in college and a huge fan of speedos, i still wear them. So…when i have a son (hopefully on the way) sure he can join me wearing one or he can wear whatever he wants

Absolutely. He can choose his own swimwear. Besides, I've got a speedo I occasionally wear as well.

Whatever he wanted to wear as long as it is legal. Same for my daughter.

I wouldn't. A guy's package can be pretty visible in a speedo and even more so if he gets aroused (which, let's face it, can happen on a beach).

if thats what they wanted, I do myself but I wouldn't force my kid to wear one if they didn't like it

Definitely. If I have a boy (I don't have any children at present), I'd let him wear a Speedo and a shirt at the beach until he's 18. After that, I'd let him be naked at the beach.
