Am I the only one who gets dark stubble in less than 24h of shaving? and what do you do, do you shave the next day or wait a bit?

I use a straight razor for a closer shave. Somedays I don't shave at all. If I'm trying to stay smooth though it'd be 0400 when i wake up, again around noon and again around 1800. With a straight razor I can knock that down to twice a day.

Uff sry to hear that, it really is pain in the a** to deal with it, i usually use hair trimmer, trim my beard to 1-2mm and leave it for few days and repeat

I grow a beard every winter because it protects my face from the -20F wind chill I'm frequently in since I'm outside a lot... the shoulder seasons I'll do a hair trimmer at about the same length, but I like to be clean shaven in the summer so the bug spray is easier to clean out and all the sweat from races cleans off easier. Plus easier to see ticks that way.

Actually no, recreation. I do charity ruck marches every weekend. Also have to stay atop of splitting firewood for the following season, but that's free PT so not really a "job", and I make special commissioned heirloom furniture from reclaimed wood or tree special to my customers, and when they come down in heavy winter storms I have to be there to claim the wood before the elements do it for me. Also not a job though, more of a longstanding hobby I can make rather comfortable, if inconsistent money doing. My actual job, unfortunately, is inside at a desk for the past 7 years. I've no idea how people do this for a lifetime.

Damn you really have an interesting life, and yeah i thought when i was younger that desk job is great but cuz you only sit etc but oh boy it can be tedious not to mention ruining you back and ending up even either super boring or super stressful, physical is physical but it does seems to have far more bigger fulfillment in it. Glad to hear that you are doing what you like outside of ''official'' job

Yeah at least when my back is sore from a long ruck or from chopping extra wood it's a good kind of sore. Cubicle sore just makes me want to drink bleach. I've got callus on top of callus on my hand and feet but I wouldn't trade any of them if I had to spend more time inside. Except with my rescue kittens. They really like the fireplace.

you shave often or every now and then? i turned 30yo few weeks ago but still my skin is sensitive, got nice sensitive after shave, and face lotion but still end up with a little rash and few pimples.

Yes, I shaved yesterday and less than 24 I got to shave again, and I refuse to do so. I'm going to have to use a little more expensive razor.

I have the same problem, when I shave in the morning I have stubble by night time. If I have to go out at night, I usually shave a 2nd time that day.
