I also feel really selfconcious in them. I always get stared at either in public or at the gym, which isn't what I go for. I have a butt (or so I've been told), and dont need the scrunch leggings to get that effect, but I find that the scrunch makes it worse.

But thats an insecurity of mine. If you like how you feel in them, and feel comfortable and confident wearing them out, then go for it! Rock it!

They look awful and are why you are getting ingrown hairs on your legs. The tight fabric keeps the sweat and dirt close to the skin, and blocks pores to boot.

Their original purpose was always short term wear. But some have made it daily wear.

No one is advertising anything. Just because someone wears sexy clothes doesn't mean she's for sale 🤦‍♀️ if that's how you think them people need to run around naked and without makeup all the time because even the most basic clothes can change perception of the body.
That being said, some of these pants can have butt lift (same like also even many jeans have it) but don't need too. They're just cut to fit like a second skin. If your ass looks shit these aren't magically gonna fix it for you

Yes , it works in similar manner to a push up bra , when you get them off , you are often disappointed , the arse needs to sit naturally up , not being pushed up with the product , nothing worse than sloppy arse cheeks.
