Have you ever worn anything that you think is amazing and then had everyone give you the wtf look?

I recently got a notification on a dress on eBay which I put in my basket, £30 down to £13, so I brought it. And I've tried it on and I simply adore it. I wore it out just to the shops cause I really loved it and it was actually sunny enough for me to wear without tights, and virtually every person I passed did the whole wtf stare. And now while I still love it, I just wear it the second I go home and enjoy it in peace.

when i was 16, one time i wore shredded tights and i thought i look so cool and badass, but i got a lot of those like wtf stares and got multiple comments on it including from the principal who said i looked like i'd been raped by an entire rugby team lol

Yeah that's probably it just wasn't thinking about it beforehand though. I do have an idea to make it more of a vampire thing - I've already got a black cloak lined with red velvet, all I need to get is some tights maybe skulls or bats or something and some fangs to go with it lol

Haha lol it finishes just on the knee, I'm afraid I'm too clumsy to wear longer dresses, plus I have no shoes or boots to go with any of them

Clothes are so icky these days... clothes used to be more elegant for both men and women.. i'm not saying we all have to put on a wig but those clothes where classy. 😁

Since I wear a lot of historical clothing (1920s, 1940s, and Victorian) I get stares too. Do I care? Nope. Will I still dress that way? Yup!

Being unique is important. I'd rather not be like everyone else. My appearance and fashion choices mean more to me than what others think. Plus, I get nice comments once in a while.

i remember i wore this weird dress... it was light green had no straps you wore it like a tube top and the skirt was short but frilly... so on one hand i thought it was sexy but on the other it was weird i guess

I actually had someone look at me and frown, then pointed at me while talking to a friend both turn and look at me and then frowned at each other while actually turning their heads to watch me walk past them, the whole time frowning. So I would love to say I misconceived it, truly I would.

I have a medieval style long coat that I absolutely love. I get mixed reactions to it. Some look at me like I'm a psycho and some people love it as well. I get mostly compliments for it though.

Honestly I have no idea, all I know is the past year or so I've gotten more and more into the vintage or maybe it's more medieval style of dress, I also really love steampunk outfits and have only just started to try/but/sew things to try and get the look I like
