If you’re dealing with colorist people, then yes it can give you advantages. Colorists will treat people better who have lighter skin.
But, if you’re not dealing with colorist people, then it’s irrelevant.
Basically, it will affect your interactions with those who would judge you and it will not affect your interactions with those who don’t judge you.
Then, it’s a matter of are you going somewhere and living somewhere where you’ll encounter judgement?
Or are you going somewhere or living somewhere that is accepting and judgment-free?
For lighter vs darker skin people, there should be absolutely no problem with that at a liberal university.
But, they could experience discrimination when they travel to certain countries and areas where colorism is more prevalent.
I think it is advantage for hunting instead of sociality
Does it? Sometimes.
Should it? No.
