They don't gotta be for seeing but I know some have em for changing their eye color
Do you wear glasses or contacts?
They don't gotta be for seeing but I know some have em for changing their eye color
Glasses here (I'm nearsighted). Been wearing them since I was in...5th grade I believe? Though I used to hide them and refuse to wear them to school since my parents got me freaking coke bottle frames that were huge and make me look like a geek, lol.
It wasn't until I was in 10 or 11th grade I started wearing them on my own because the teachers put me in the back of the class and I couldn't see the board: it was either wear glasses or fail my classes.
Now I wear them all the time, even though I really only need them to see far off :)
Not a fan of contacts though- I've been told I look way better without glasses, but I refuse to stick anything in my eyes. Glasses are just easier for me, even if they don't make me look very 'attractive' to others, lol
Keep the glasses, people shouldn't be ashamed of them and I'm glad you aren't, your teacher did you dirty tho, that's fucked up lol
Both! I have bad eyesight from far away but very good close up so while I'm typing this, glasses off, everything is perfectly clear. When my eyes drift upwards however, it's blurry as all hell. Glasses and contacts both have their benefits and drawbacks.
Glasses give me a headache when I wear them for too long, they are a frustrating wear when it's raining or you're laying on your side, and they get dirty easily. Contacts are irritating to put in and remove, strain your pupils after a while, and reaaaaally hurt if you have even the slightest spot of dirt on them. But glasses are easier to wear and contacts make for clearer vision. So, to each your own
Also, learning how to use contacts was a traumatic experience 💀 easily worse than driving, and I got into a crash within fifteen minutes of my driving lesson 😊
Well fuck those contacts then lol
Damn they did you dirty, glasses are better anyways from what people say, it's less of a struggle in general, what shape are your glasses, are they those big square ones? 🤣
Nahhh mate, they're rectangular and sensible
So the professional looking ones?
Of course. I'm studying to be a teacher, i have to have the teacher glasses 🥳
Ah I see, very smart to think ahead 😆
I don't need either, yet...
my parents needed their around age 60 or so?
so I will probably be good for a while... and I hope that by then, they come up with better options... because I don't like to wear any kind of glasses or shades, I don't want my eye sliced like a grape then lasered like stone... and I will definitely won't be sticking stuff into my eyes... lmfao
I used to wear contacts all the time & my eyes were getting so dry & red I switched over to glasses after my eye doctor recommended it & my eyes thank me.
That contacts stuff sounds like hell no lie 😂
Contacts are easy & once you put them in & your eyes adjust to them life is good but I couldn’t deal with the redness & itchy eyes & eye infections. Glasses are easier & they are safer on your eyes.
I think they come in their own case where it cleans them or something right?
There are cases & your left contact goes in one & the right in the other & you clean them with a solution. There are two kinds of contacts. Daily ones where you throw them away or ten to twenty day ones where you soak them in the case every night. I still have contacts but haven’t used them on about six months.
You must use the case ones right

I’m basically blind, can’t legally drive without them. I don’t wear contacts because I don’t like stretching the skin around, to pop those lenses in. I also don’t want to fall asleep with them in and have it stuck because I can’t get it out. (My cousin used to wear contacts and because she wasn’t diligent got either an eye infection or scratched her corneal eye.)
I could get them, they even have colored lenses with prescriptions but I won’t because glasses are easier to put on and off.
Yea I had a teacher that had to get surgery in his eye because of an eye infection for not taking them off, he was blind on one eye for the rest of the year I had him, he wore an eye patch
Stay with the glasses, they are more comfortable to take on and off and they usually look adorable, makes you look smarter too 🤓
I wear glasses, but not the glasses because I'm blind. It's because my dreds are usually in my eyes. Soo i got my clear ones and my most used, red ones. My red ones help me see the world in a better view due to the red hue. My husband has told me has gotten some green ones for Christmas, and it makes me happy he listens to me.
I had (and hated) both for 42 years. Then got Lasik in one eye and PRK in the other. I recommend the PRK. Lasik makes me see double and isn't as sharp. But, I don't need glasses or contacts anymore and can see a hawk's tail-feather at 100 yards away... But your eyes will get dry and (OMG) the pain. It is absolutely worth it not to have to deal with glasses and contacts, but take the long list of "side effects" seriously.
I wear glasses and I absolutely hate it! Wearing contacts would be weird, so I guess I have to stick with glasses. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️👓👓👓
Why glasses make women look adorable, which is your type, if you got the big square ones that's what's up 😂
You are bias, no lie I don't think I should believe these inaccurate claims Nina 🤣
Nah, bias is blinding lol
Pun intended, you are bias about yourself which blinds you on seeing adorableness in yourself. The pun wasn't done on purpose I just reread it now and was like nice pun ha
Agree to disagree menina 😁
I refuse to accept 😂
I used to wear contacts for seeing, never wore the colored ones. I had glasses too.
What's with all the past tense? You got eye surgery or something? Lol
Wear your glasses nubes 😂
@7Phoenix7 I do the same :D
@IslaTheWitch I feel better now knowing you do it too. 😌 lol
Even though I don't need them, I used to wear my grandmother's glasses when I was a little girl; they made me look innocent, lol, and I've used contacts for aesthetic purposes since I like the way the grey tone complements my tan skin.
Lol glasses do make you look innocent and smart too 🤓
And gray is a nice eye color, it's bright a lot of the times
I wear glasses and contacts, depends what to do and where I am. When swimming or travelling in airco cars, trains or planes, always glasses, otherwise contacts.
You don't just rather wear glasses? 🤣
Really but isn't it a pain to put on? Not only that, you gotta worry about properly cleaning them and infections and shit 🙃
Fair enough lol
None, don’t need them yet. Contacts would be hard to get used to putting on, but I’m too vain for glasses, haha
Yep and it's crazy cause I be seeing kids with glasses lol
Yeah, good vision is something I try to not take for granted, I see all kinds of people out here blind as a bat lmao
Yea bro, that shit is scary no lie, I can't imagine ha
I've worn glasses since I was 7 years old. Tried contact several years ago... didn't work
So now what lmao
Just reading glasses. Got to admit.. getting older. Body will tell us.
Lol I'm sure I'm on my way
Long way to go kiddo.
You'd be surprised
What’s your body telling you? That you are aging like an old man at 22?
No but you never know midnight lol
No is correct…you are at your prime…they used to tell me that and I was so clueless and went my merry way.
So go pursue your goals!!
Thanks midnight 🤣💯
What's this bifocals stuff?
@ChicoFromThe305 Bifocals help me to see small print on newspapers/ medications.
Is it the magnifying on the glasses lens?
All I know is my glasses are prescribed by the eye doctor. @ChicoFromThe305 They do make me see clearly, soon as I get up I put them on and can see everything good. But the eye doctor is the person I went to school with, and we graduated from the same High School the same year. But without glasses, everything is blurry.
Damn that's crazy that y'all went to school together, does he wear glasses?
I can still pass a commercial drivers license eye test. I only have a pair of cheaters for extremely small print.
What's the cheater? A magnifying glass? 🤔
@ChicoFromThe305 No those eye glasses for reading. You buy them off the rack at the drug store.
Drug stores have glasses, that's somewhat unusual lol
Interesting
Yes I wear glasses and I think I've been wearing glasses since I was about 8 or 9
Dayum, you are one of those to kids that used to wear glasses, that's wild
I wear bifocals. I have the ones without the line in the middle.
What's that? Lol
What's the difference between these and others?
Yeah, I hate them. I must have had at least 5 pairs broken from getting punched in the face.
Could've been worse, they could've been using brass knuckles
Time to evolve with the world before you get yourself killed 😂
Yep but to he fair, time to devolve cause it's becoming more animalistic every year, but sounds like a terrible job lol
Glasses. I'll never put contacts in my eyes.
I'm too lazy for contacts... :D
So what type of glasses you wear? The square ones? Lol
my glasses are waiting for better days :D
Better days? Do you not see everyday Isla? 😂
shhh... one day I will wear them, but today is not that day
Lmao so you don't plan on reading today? Lol
I read and even write :D
But don't use glasses everyday? Lol
currently at all... :D
Why not tho? Lol
I look like the @IslaTheProfessor ;(
So that's not bad, it makes you look very smart 😂
@ChicoFromThe305 I look smart enough without glasses
Alright Isla fair enough lol
I have to wear reading glasses.
Do you wear them in public?
Fair enough
NO BUT PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE GLASSES
I used to wear contacts for better vision
Never would've guessed
Bruh why you always in surgery bro
