I think Western.

The way I look at it is that Japanese swimsuit models barely look any better than the average woman you see walking down the street. In Japan, the average tends to be better than a lot of Western countries but idols barely look any better than average.

In a lot of Western countries, the average might be substantially worse, but I find the most exceptional beauties there. They don't remotely resemble the average woman walking down the street.

I think Japan also focuses a lot more on personality than looks for idols. Like if you ask a Japanese man his type of woman, he'll often describe personality traits a whole lot more than an American man asked the same question, and I think because most Japanese women are good-looking enough. If the average is decent enough, then I think it causes the population to focus a whole lot more on personality. If the average isn't so good, then I think it causes the population to focus much more on looks.

We also lack such a fitness culture here in Japan. So you don't find so many women who are exceptionally fit unless they are professional athletes. Even models usually aren't so fit unless fitness models in Western countries. Most Japanese, including most idols, are just reasonably active and healthy people. They don't spend much time at the gym but walk and cycle a lot each day. They're all very average as in not overweight or out of shape but not exceptionally fit either.

The West is so much more obsessed with fitness so I think you tend to find a strange dichotomy between obese people who are so unfit and so out of shape and then some of the fittest people on the planet who aren't even professional athletes who have the most disciplined nutrition and have whole body workout plans they stick to in the gym. So I think you find more of the very best and very worst in the West. In Japan, you find most people close to average: a good and reasonably healthy average but not exceptional.

Western swimsuit models. I like Japanese and Asian cars, I just don't eat their foods. Likewise I am just a prefer western women. Yet I like things made in China and even this phone I use. So anyways 🤔😋

Well to be honest the swimsuits now are supposed to be appealing obviously but there are some that are just legit swimsuits I can speak on this because I'm part of a swimming team. That's my opinion
