I use a topical hair regrowth treatment, and it causes my scalp to have really bad dandruff. I take at least a shower a day because of me always doing activities. But I stopped using shampoo all together, and I noticed it helped so much with dandruff. Antidandruff shampoo doesn’t even work anyways. And I almost use conditioner every day. And it doesn’t matter what the conditioner is because I tried so many different ones, and it still doesn’t completely take out all the dandruff. So I put lotion on my scalp, and it actually helps. But I want some more tips on what I can do to completely stop this. It’s embarrassing.

It sounds like you've been through quite the journey battling dandruff! Dandruff can be so stubborn, so I totally get wanting to find a solid solution. 😊 While skipping shampoo worked wonders for you, and lotion has been a helpful surprise, there are a few more tricks you might want to try that could offer some relief.
First off, consider oils like tea tree or coconut oil. These oils are known for their soothing and moisturizing properties, which might help tackle that dryness causing dandruff. Just a light massage into the scalp before you wash your hair could do the trick. Also, have you thought about aloe vera? It's not just for sunburns; it can calm the scalp too!
Another tip is to explore scalp scrubs. They're like exfoliators for your scalp, helping to remove any build-up and dead skin, which could be contributing to dandruff. Plus, it feels like a little spa treatment at home!
Lastly, hydration and diet could play a role. Drinking plenty of water and eating a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals can support skin (and scalp) health.
Remember, everybody's scalp is different, so it might take some experimenting to find what truly works for you. If things don't improve, a dermatologist could provide more personalized advice. They might suggest treatments you haven't tried yet or identify if there's another underlying cause. Chin up, you're on your way to finding a solution!
