but my life experience tells me I would have been treated better if I was prettier I have been told things like this before in the past
“Why would somebody like you use Instagram.” This comment sounds to me like they were saying you are not pretty enough

Yes, 100%.. Humans should be judged by the content of their character and not by their looks or money. We really need to stop assigning value based on superficial things like looks, age, gender, race, etc. and start acknowledging the value and dignity of every person out here.

In general I don't care because I don't need that attention but in one degree I am jealous because they get attention of the opposite sex. Being average you get ignored more depending on your personality especially when you are more shy at starting conversations so in that part it would be nice.

It's not you or me, it's evolution. We're built that way to make assumptions about possible mates based on symmetry, hip width, athleticism, cheekbones, height, pheromones, musculature, etc. Don't sweat it. Lookism is real and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.

What does good looks have to do with friendship though? It seems shallow to me to reject a person based on looks for things such as friendship, employment or just sitting on the same table with at lunch time.

I used to have chubby cheeks also known as buccal fat growing up especially big during my teen years but this slimed down a lot when I hit my early twenties. I felt I was treated and got paid more attention better after my cheeks skimmed down.

I used to think that way. But G@G has taught me how many terrible women there are in this world.

Women don't treat you better just because you're better looking. But being better looking will attract some of the worst women.

Being unattractive is actually a blessing. I know it doesn't feel that way. But it is.
