for this no wrong answer except it depends on event. elegant events is usualy luxury style more fabric: longer n extra pleats, but most days luxury is "too much" like men in a fancy hat.

i like pleats, between 1-2 inches wide when skirt reaches halfway to knee maybe 4-10 inches above knee depending on how tall. it lays loose n wavy better looking than these thin pleats.

The see through look is nice, but she would need to have a thong on and no underskirt for the full effect.

Generally I prefer a pleated skirt above the knee with long socks.
