I do. They get unnecessary hate for no reason.

1 yI have a little residual resentment towards them because my favorite era for women’s jeans was the low-rise flares that were cool in the early and mid-00s, haha. I guess you had to have the right body type to really rock them well, but when a gal did…. YEW!!!🔥😅
I think that was too much pressure to have a flat stomach though, lmao, and I remember the later part of the decade as we approached 2010, I started seeing women wearing skinny jeans. I guess they’re a little more “equal opportunity”, haha, but I didn’t like them at first.
Now I’m used to them and think of them as “normal”, and the Gen Z women’s jeans are the ones I think look unflattering. Like the baggy jeans, or “mom” jeans, or “boyfriend” jeans, I just don’t think they compliment a woman’s figure well, AT ALL. Maybe they’re more comfortable or something? I don’t know. But aesthetically, I’m pretty put off by them. My opinion along with three dollars will buy you coffee and a donut, lmao, but that’s this old man’s take on it.
Women are blessed with beautiful figures, even the women we might not say “wow, she has a great figure”….. the female form >>>>>>>>>> the male form, we’re the ones who should be hiding our bodies, usually, not the ladies😂 So in my opinion, and if the ladies even care what the fellas think about it, I’d certainly prefer skinny jeans to the looser-fitting ones I see today. It’s been almost 20 years now, maybe the popularity pendulum will swing in the direction of low-rise jeans again.
This could also just be an old man refusing to adapt with the times and trying to desperately cling to anything that reminds me of my youth😂

1 yAbsolutely :) I'm wearing my skinny jeans today lol.
For reference, I'm very petite, 5ft - so skinny jeans are the most flattering on my figure. I tried flare, bellbottoms, etc. but they off balance my silhouette.

Oh, absolutely! Skinny jeans have this timeless charm and versatility that's hard to match. Whether you're dressing up for a night out or keeping it casual for a coffee run, they somehow always fit the bill. Plus, isn't it amazing how they can be a cozy buddy with almost any kind of shoe? Boots, heels, flats—you name it! I think the hate they sometimes get might just be because fashion is always looking for the next big trend. But hey, if it looks good and feels great, why not rock it, right? 😊 How do you like to style yours?

1 yYes I love them, and low-rise too! So I get double hate for wearing out of “fashion” jeans! I just found the last pair of the brand I like in “low-rise” tight stretch jeans. So now I have to take extra good care of them!

@soe11 No! With shorts, I want the comfort, and freedom of movement w/o looking like I’m wearing “booty-shorts” designed to be worn in a night club. I like low-rise stretch jeans, but I do value modesty. A bit of my abdomen… that's okay. My ass-cheeks on display… No, not okay! Besides, stuff like that only attracts the wrong type of guy. If a guy likes seeing MY ass cheeks when I’m wearing shorts, then he’s gonna like it when other women show their ass cheeks! I prefer to attract men who will respect me for my intellect, my academic achievements, and for everything I overcame as a rape and abuse survivor as a child… Not for what my body parts look like!
- 1 y
@soe11 You assume wrong, Sir! I come from a very long line of life-long liberals! The only conservative in our family molested me from age 6 to age 11, and raped me 3 days after my 13th birthday, and continued raping me, almost every weekday for 3 ½ months, until I was pregnant! He will spend the rest of his life in prison as a result of that! Given that our state just passed the death penalty for any child rapist of a child 13yrs of age or younger, he’s damned lucky he did it 8 years ago, and not today! So NO I’m not conservative! Also last I checked, not having your ass on display for every stranger who walks by was not a conservative vs liberal issue, it's just a common decency, and modesty issue. Are you under the false impression that ALL liberal women want to show off our body parts to strangers?

1 yFor me I am pretty short (5 ft ) and petite (85 lbs) so hard to find skinny jeans that I like. I go for the low rise style because high rise just isn't comfortable and because of how short I am high rise goes all the way up almost under my boobs ( sorry for the detail) so if I wear those kind I end up rolling them down to where it's more comfortable. Used to be all about them but now I am all about comfort and not what's in style. So leggings and occasionally sweats if it's cold.
Now for guys can't seem to get why they wear them they always look so uncomfortable and that they can't breathe lol.
Guess it all depends on who is wearing them and what they are trying to show off to people I guess.10 ReplyWell, it does of course depend on whether the one wearing them actually looks good in them. All too often that isn't the case, and that's probably why they get all that "unnecessary hate".
20 Reply653 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. My testicles need to breathe.
I usually wear slim jeans and my testicles are having a hard time in those recently. Now tapered seems to be better for me.
Lot going on down there.
Older guys like me can't get away with those. Better for women. But loose is more fashionable now, at least in England.
00 Reply802 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I bought some Jeans recently, (511's) that fit me like skinny Jeans, but I am 'skinny' so I can get away with it, and I wear a lot of Lycra stretch fitted shirts.
At a Starbucks that I and and friend go to regularly, there is a girl working there that is really 'traffic stopper' pretty, and she wears skinny jeans that fit like they are painted on, and they compliment her figure, which is stunning.
So yes, on the right girl, skinny Jeans are phenomenal in my opinion

1 yNot anymore. I used to wear them a lot around 2006/7 when they were very popular. But I feel like they went out of style and I no longer own any skinny jeans.

1 yAs a guy, I love them on girls. I do have one or two pairs that could be considered skinny jeans. I’m cautious when I wear them. My partner is only slightly more favourable to them than grey sweats because they sometimes show a bit too much. She’s not wrong. Sometimes that’s the point.
00 Reply 655 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I do, but I am not tall so it doesn’t look as good on me lol as I don’t have “enough” legs.
20 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. I like them. They can add a little more dressiness to an otherwise casual outfit. Especially when wearing them with heels and a really cute top! And they can make my legs and butt look extra good too!
