Nope. The underwear would just get soggy and take forever to dry. Swim trunks are made of fast drying fabric. Wearing soggy underwear would feel strange.

Unless I'm planning on spending the majority of my time wearing swim trunks out of the water, I don't wear underwear underneath.

Nah coz swimsuits are tight, wearing an underwear beneath can get uncomfortable and it gets tough to get out of it due to it being soggy.
