I noticed it's pretty common among teens. Why do you do that? It's to hide boners or for other reasons?
And what do you wear (boxers, speedos...)?

guy's "swim shorts" have a type of underwear built into them, that looks like a screen to let water drain fast. but if they are regular shorts yes i have to wear underwear, otherwise my male parts flop around, rub against the shorts the wrong way and just gets irritating and very uncomfortable, and i wear briefs not boxers. boxers suck.

I didn't wear any as a kid. Then when the trend of pulling the swim trunks down to expose the dick started, I began to wear underwear.
Now that I'm older and people don't do that, I don't wear any underwear under my swim trunks.

Well I personally do wear underpants under my swim trunks. Firstly, they provide support. Secondly, I have tried swimming with trunks without underwear beneath and it felt WEIRD. My junk was floating around and it was such a weird sensation. I also think that having underpants under my swim trunks is more hygienic and can provide some sort of protective barrier against the elements (of course not 100% protection but at least some bit). But to answer your question, I don’t think it’s to hide a boner. Since underwears are tighter than a swim trunk, boners would be more prominent when wearing underwear.

Yeah I used to wear my briefs under my trunks for comfort until recently when I switched to wearing speedos because my briefs were just sopping from the water and ruining the fabric :(

It's not because of boners, It's pretty much the opposite.

When we get wet in colder sort of water it usually Shrinks and it's usually uncomfortable having your pens laying down against your leg aswell anyway.
