Guy, do you wear anything under your swimming shorts?

Do you wear something under swimming shorts just like you wear something under regular shorts? (I don't know how you call them in English. Multiple terms are used interchangeably which makes it hard to figure out which means what. The fact that the same is going on in Dutch makes it even more of a mess. I'm also not able to add images which probably got something to do with my Xper level.)

This is a question inspired by a similar question asked by @Apple1996. I got her permission to ask this and chose to do so as she only specified underwear under swimwear, which does not include swimwear under swimwear.

I tried everything. At the end, I established that I have no pattern or preference. I wouldn't mind any type of swim wear, as long as I get to wear my portable testicular refrigerator and I don't end up looking as robotic as @BoobSlayer doing it.

Just a comment. if you wear real swim trunks, they always have mesh undergear for support, so there's no need.

If you're wearing shorts that are NOT swimwear, you might need support gear of some kind.

From what've I've heard from friends the mesh is only support. Unlike underwear and the like, it let's air and sand through. According to them, that is uncomfortable. So I wanted to know how many people agreed with them. Just now realising that not everyone goes to a sandy beach or something similar. No sand at a swimming pool.

aside from board shorts (that don't have the lining) you don't generally have a need for underwear under bathing suits and in fact if the lining is in it underwear would be very uncomfortable

Yeah i petty much always keep my bra and panties on under my swimwear Even even i were a bikini. I just prefer it this way. Its a bit awkward if i forget a dry bra for the way home but whatever...

For a while I'd wear regular boxer shorts under swim shorts. But some companies started making underwear specifically designed for swimmimg so I bought some of those. They work wonders.

Yes, I wear underwear under my swim trunks, boxer shorts, pants, pyjamas, etc. If anyone pulls my trunks. I will be exposed naked in front of everyone.

You need to find less superficial women then. Maybe try looking somewhere else. I'm far from a perfect guy and I get lots of attention. If you're only doing the bar/club scene... that's a no-go. I've never been taller than 5'10". Nobody knows how much I make, and I drive a 10-year-old car, so it's none of that.

I'm an ambivert actually. I spent many years at a job where I had to make friends with people. Now that I've closed that chapter in my life I enjoy my time alone much more than before. I have a lot of catching up to do on stocking up my "me time." I do a lot of charity races on the weekends though, so Saturday and Sunday mornings I'm around a lot of people. I didn't actually speak to anyone yesterday, so it goes to both extremes.

Kind of, yeah. I mean I still have a full-time job, but I work remotely now and don't have anyone else I depend on to do my job, so I can just sit here and do my thing with my rescue kittens during the week and be social when I actually have the time for it. That's part of what makes dating hard (-er). The week is for me and my rescue kittens. Weekend mornings are for charity races. I can go out outside of those hours. Since I'm always meeting new people at the races, I'm sure I've missed out on some great women, but the little "free time" I have, I'm booked through early February, so there comes a time when you just have to say "sorry, I don't have time" and it's REALLY about I don't have time, not the way people say "it's not you it's me" but they really mean "no no this is entirely you". I show them my calendar and it's like... If you see a slot I'm missing...

... and I'm not giving up the charity races because those are for good causes AND great cardiovascular activity... so that's that.
