Well... Burt's Bees lip balms... every one of them... neither do I think they are hydrating enough nor function as a moisturising lipstick. Plus, they are on the more expensive side of low-end products which means there are more options available at cheaper prices. In Turkey, the company cut down on manufacturing for this reason years ago, and I haven't seen a single person crying over it.🤣🤣🤣

Sol de Janeiro. Their lip butter is actually my favorite moisturizing lip product but the creams and sprays are kind of mid in fragrance (and anyone who believes they lift without exercise is naive).

I find bath & body works to be a better deal. They're cheaper than SDJ (still a bit expensive but $15-16 is better than $22-48 for the more decent sized products of SDJ), smell nicer, are more hydrating, and they have more variety. I especially love their winter fragrances.

Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are kind of overrated too. They're very drying, but the Lolita II studded lipstick is bomb

kat von d lock it foundation is also pretty dry as well. she first started off as a goth-only make-up brand, but got popular as the time went by, so it kinda explains why their og products are so dry.

To be honest for every single beauty product that I have ever tried which was pricey, I found a way better dupe that was more affordable and did the exact same job and in many cases better. When we buy something expensive, we buy the name of the brand and not the actual quality of the product in most cases.

I've always wondered what the point of lip moisturizers even IS; what are you people doing that makes your lips so dry? I suppose you could be out skiing through a desert all day, but immediately behind your lips (check if you don't believe me) is a tongue, in a mouth filled with a constantly replenishing supply of saliva, which can take care of that problem fantastically well.

I've wondered, more than once, if lips aren't drying out BECAUSE of the moisturizers people on them. A product creating the problem it was sold to solve.

Drink plenty of water…that should take care of your lips.
