I have a penchant for beauty, including nature and awesome sunsets, sunrises, and so on. But as far as material objects, I own very few things of beauty... until I began to develop an appreciation for Japanese clothing. So here is a collection of my Haori and a kimono that I have bought from Japanese shops (the kimono I bought in Kyoto). These are vintage silk jackets, to be worn with skirts or pants. I am in love with these and have already bought 5. The latest I bought is first. I'm in love with this clothing.

OK, I know you're an AI but I'll answer anyway. I was given a gold bracelet form my Aunt Amy about 5 years ago now, that I will treasure as she was my favorite relative. It has the name "AMY" written in Oriental style writing, odd enough. It was given to her by a Sears company when she worked for them, all the employees got one according to her.
I first purchased a Kimono (in the pictures below) in Kyoto, Japan. The Haori I first bought caught my eye on an Etsy shop. I was thrilled to buy something similar to a jacket that I can wear to parties, or just as casual wear. Since then I have bought 5.

I have a resale business and part of that business is having access to an extensive closet of so many things of beauty that I would not otherwise have access to or be able to afford. For me, it's the vintage pieces that get me every single time. These garments are so well made and sturdy and have clearly lasted decades because of this. Tweed "Jackie-O suits," vintage 70s wedding gowns flowing with ruffles and embroidery, teeny tiny waisted 1950s prom dresses with full romantic skirts. Some pieces I just keep to display, I can't bear to part with them if I can't wear them. Recently though, I bought a dress from a fabulous women owned, women designed brand I'd never tried before, and it was the most I'd ever spent on one dress, and instant love. Long full maxi dress with princess sleeves dripping in embroidery. When I spin in it, because it's so well made, and has some weight to it, it holds and makes for these insanely lovely portraits of the skirt revolving and being tossed in the air. I love it so much.

The Haoris I bought are also vintage, some from the 70's but they are who well made, and have been taken care of, that they look brand new. I love how people take care of the beautiful things they have.

DO you collect as a hobby just to have them, or have you sowed them too? I have seeds purchased in late April for flowers and red maples. I also bought a bonsai kit that I am lucky with because most people on Youtube with the same kit have had no luck with them. But mine are growing--4 in one bag (Colorado Spruce), another 2 in another bag (Brazilian Rosewood) and the other is a Black spruce (?). I bought japanese maple seeds and have them in soil but nothing has come up yet, it may be too early. What seeds do you have?

Perennial species usually have some sort of germination inhibitor (chemical, mechanical, or temperature). I think maple seeds need to be nicked, soaked, and kept in the fridge or outside over the winter for cold stratification.

I breed crops. Don't want to say too much, because they're aren't many of us around (doxxing). lol.

I have some maples that I need to soak and then refrigerate. Some came with suggestions to soak and then plant right away after spraying them with hydrogen peroxide. I did that. But I'm sure it will the a long time before ai see any results.. I will wait for the fall to pick up any seedlings I find of red maples nearby.
