+1 yLet her dress the way she wants to dress especially for comfort sake (same if it were a male).
A lot of guys wear briefs for comfort, boxer briefs for comfort, etc. so I don’t see it any different. If she finds a specific style more suitable and no one except her and her parents will know about it… Who cares?00 Reply

that said, I was 12-13 when I started wearing them. I decided I wanted to and no one was stopping me. No one saw them so I don’t think there was a problem.

+1 yI think maybe +18 years. old. Even though I know one of my sisters was around 16 when she started wearing them. Or some people in middle school did but I think that's way too young. Of course, I understand if it was because they were in sports and didn't want anything sticking to them.

Deciding when to start wearing thongs or g-strings is really a personal choice and can depend on a few factors. Comfort and preference play a big role, as well as cultural and family values. Fourteen can be a reasonable age if the individual feels ready and comfortable with it. It’s important to have open communication with a parent or guardian and ensure that the choice is made without any external pressure. Everyone matures at different rates, so what feels right for one person might not for another, and that’s completely okay!

Ok my view is 14.
Not applicable. It is never "appropriate".
I mean she can do it if she wants to, but it will never be appropriate.00 ReplyThe question doesn't specify if it's underwear or swim-ware.
I'd question the appropriateness of having a young lady in her tween-age years wearing something too revealing on public.

@KostasKouvalis I don't, I never did. Not my things and it was always my parents that bought me underwear because I don't have a car so they were always with me XD
- +1 y
LOL. Me too. At a certain age, it gets kind of awkward. But usually she also get some for my dad while she's there. Luckily mine lasts quite a long time
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis It used to bother me when I was a teen but now I don't care.
- +1 y
Sometimes she buys a bad kind than gets annoyed that she wasted money. lol
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis Here when this happen we just give it to my grandmother XD
- +1 y
LOL. Yeah, usually we just give them to my dad. I bought a very cute pair in Turkey when our luggage was lost, and I wish I'd brought more, because they're so cute and the material so soft
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis many time I've forgot to take underwear with me and I had to buy some though I bought some others and they were utter shit they wee falling apart after a day of wearing them, here I was happy I didn't buy many of them but just one pack XD
Is Turkey a nice country to visit? My grandfather friend say Istanbul feel like an European city and there's cats absolutely everywhere. - +1 y
I've never forgotten underwear or socks, but I've gone without underwear before. LOL We've had to buy towels before that were garbage and ripped after one use. And one time I bought googles when my aunt took me to Greece unexpectedly, and they were leaking.
I didn't go to Istanbul, I went to Cappadocia and Antalya region. I will say YES, especially if you love ancient ruins and sea. There's just so many scammers which completely ruin the country. You also have to be careful with some of the food. The inland areas are very traditional, but the coastal areas are very Westernized. I heard Izmir is the most Westernized and then Istanbul. Antalya was a little bit mix of traditional and Western. I haven't been to other Muslim countries, but from what I read, Turkey is the most modern and Westernized.
I hear now's not a good time to visit though, because of hyper inflation and Edorgan is reconverting churches to mosques. But I will say, I felt much safer than even in some cities in Europe and the Americas. But I heard Istanbul and Kurdish region (especially along the Syrian border) are very dangerous.
You're interested in visiting Turkey? - +1 y
@KostasKouvalis It's annoying how they make some stuff that are shitty and break after one day.
Sock and underwear is the things I forget the most cause it's what I put last in my baggage.
I really love sea, reasons it interest me is food, cat, the beautiful sea, architecture and wanting to see Saint Sophie (it used to be a church before). It's a very well know one.
Scammers I'm used to them in France and Spain they're everywhere.
They also try to sell you fake designer glass and belt.
Is food hygiene bad?
Turkey is westernized because they want to enter the EU since so many decade (Eu refuse though because Turkey is too near middle eastern countries and they're worried about the flood of immigrant coming).
Not surprising considering Kurds aren't liked and Syria seem to always be at war.
Yes, I think that would be a great way to visit a very different countries from European one but still stay in a rathe safe country that won't go crazy if they see a cross or some skin. Also my father also told me Turkish people were ok and nothing alike Arab and North African.
- +1 y
LOL. It's usually the first thing I pack. I usually forget some toiletry item.
Honestly, the food kind of disappointed me. I find the European versions much better.
I know, he reconverted it to a mosque
In France too? I'm disappointed. I heard they're mostly in the big tourist cities though. France still seems more tourist friendly than other European countries though, at least some parts. Like I was looking at Lyon and the museums charge locals and tourists the same price.
I know, I know. Some people don't care because they just want to show off and their friends don't know any better.
A little. A lot of food sits out in the heat all day. It's better to eat in places where food is prepared inside. I got acute food poisoning from a Turkish fast food place, and a lot of the food is so dry because they don't give you sauce.
It's not about that, Ataturk really Westernized the country, before EU was formed. Someone said, "Turkey is a great example of what happens when Muslims are kept ignorant about Islam."
Yeah, Edorgan keeps threatening Greece and is too radical to join the EU. Even Angela Merkel was against it. There's already tons of Turks in Germany.
It's complicated.
Yeah, you won't have any issues wearing a cross or showing skin in the coastal cities, especially in Istanbul. Though they get terror attacks often. You can also always go with an organized tour. Surely they have bus tours from France, if you don't want to fly.
Oh when was this? My mom never liked them because she said in Germany and Austria they would always set up businesses and scam people. She STILL thought they were too traditional, so I told her if she thought Turkey was traditional, she better not go to any other Muslim countries. But she said she might go back to Turkey, because she liked the sites. But it was so funny when she first saw them at the airport in CA, she said, "OMG, these people are gonna kill me!" XD
But they're still more civilized than other Muslim countries - +1 y
@KostasKouvalis The toiletry items I never forget anything , I would never live if I forgot one, it's literally the most important things to me XD
The food was bland?
yes he did sadly, what a weird idea to do so.
Yes they'er only in Paris near Tour Eiffel
and on the border of Spain.
Usually they're not mean, my grandfather talked to them a lot when waiting for my grandmother to finish her shopping.
Of course we charge tourist the same price who would charge tousist higher that's such a weird things to do...
And yes we're tourist friendly it's not for northing we're the country that get the most tourist in the world ^-^
We're just not great at speaking English in general.
In France too "Turkish" Kebab restaurant (that usually isn't own by Turkish people) is dangerous and have lots of food poisoning (compared to other restaurant) the most though is the Asian restaurant it got so bad that most people just refused to eat there or eat raw fish.
- +1 y
@KostasKouvalis For the Kebab restaurant it's mostly those of shitty quality (they buy kebab meat and reheat it) that are dangerous not the one that are handmade.
I never tasted a kebab in my life because my family is racist and if I ever asked to try it they would disown me XD
For the sauce you cannot ask for some more? They may charge you more but it'll taste better?
Yes there's hundred of them there, I don't really why though, I don't think Germany ever colonized Turkey? In France we have lots of North African cause we colonized them and even today they all speak French and don't learn much English
At least Erdogan keep the extremist and terrorist away from his country even if he's quite a harsh dictator / president I don' know.
- +1 y
Every countries near Europe and Middle East have a lot of terrorist attack, the crazy things is that Muslim do more terrorist attack in Mulism countries than in others. They love to kill each other.
Yes, I will have to look it up though I doubt I would be able to go there in near future cause I'm broke.
A while ago, we were watching Alerte Coba a German show with a Turkish actor in it and my father told me that Turkish people are much better than Algerian cause they're hard worker and don't do any shit like Algerian. I think he know what he's talking about because he went to Germany many many time for work. (in the 2000s and 90s).
My family is very traditional (everyone need to listen to the man of the house, like I was forbidden to wear skirt that showed my tight and tank top were also forbidden as well as strong make up or weird hairstyle and no hair dye, he was pretty lenient on some matter but when it came to respect he was very serious about it, also we were forbidden from talking during the "info" during meals).
She was being a little dramatic XD
Tunisia and Morroco are pretty civilized too, they even banned the burkini in pool. It's Algeria that is usually the most traditional and not very civilized. Also it's better not to be blonde in those countries it drag so many unwanted attention. - +1 y
That's so funny how we're the opposite with that XD
Not all of it, but a lot of it. It depends where you eat. The further from the tourist area the better.
It made him very unpopular with many people.
I'm not surprised.
It's mainly the poor ones, and people in shops and restautants who scam. And taxi drivers.
A lot of countries do it believe it or not, even Canada. Poland does it too. And even some states in the U. S. charge people from out of state more. My dad said this was the first year that Istanbul beat out Paris in number of tourists. But yes, I find it so funny how French have a bad reputation, yet so many people still want to visit you guys. Thank you for not protesting us and spraying us with water like in Barcelona :)
Here it's the Mexican restaurants (usually the ones owned by White people), that have the most food poisoning problems. This travel food guy said a lot of times street food is actually the safest. I don't trust that.
But I read a lot of tourists get sick in Europe too, because they aren't used to the meat being rare, and many things also sit out in the sun. I've gotten sick from food in Europe before, but nothing serious. But I get sick here too. I don't have a strong stomach ^^ - +1 y
Yeah, I've seen some reviews that said that and I usually avoid those places. Sometimes they'll also take the day off and the meat will be left sitting.
Sometimes my mom doesn't like when I eat those kinds of foods either, but that's a very extreme reaction. Some of them are shaped funny, you don't know how to bite them, and they also put more greens than meat. I prefer Durum, honestly.
It's supposed to come with it, but some places give it.
No, but for some reason Germans were taking them for immigration. I know.
There are occasional attacks, but for the most part. Yeah, he's definitely trying to appease the radicals.
For real, even though their religion forbids it.
:( I wouldn't recommend you going by yourself.
Yeah, I haven't heard many nice things about Algerians and North Africans in general.
OO That's really strict. My mom was really strict about music/shows/movies with swearing, sexual stuff and certain video games with theft and violence. She found a story I wrote in middle school that had so much sex and violence, and I got in so much trouble. It's also so embarrassing, because she doesn't need to know about my erotic fantasies.
Yeah, Morocco banned face covering too. There's a village in Algeria that's said to be the mos traditional and conservative village in the world, so I'm not surprised. Don't wanna be blonde in Kurdish part of Turkey too.
She can be, yes
