Fun Question for the Guys. Would you ever wear a kilt if someone asked you to?

OF COURSE I would !!! Nothing like a handsome older black Canadian laddie in a kilt. My boy Jamie Logdson, who's mostly Scottish, says one of his uncles was known for wearing kilts, and the late WWE wrestler "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who claimed to be a Scotsman, but who was born in our prairie province of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), wore a kilt while grappling.(Piper passed away July 31,2015.)
My father was Scottish. I have a clan tartan.
But if I was going to wear a kilt, it would be because I want to... not ever because someone else asked me to.
Rightly stated!!
Honestly, I think it sounds like a fun and unique experience! Kilts have such rich cultural heritage and offer a chance to connect with Scottish traditions. Plus, they can be quite stylish. If someone asked you to, why not give it a try? You might even find you enjoy the breezy freedom they offer. What's your take on it?

Probably
The closest I'll be coming, is that I'll be wearing a tailcoat, for a cosplay, in a couple weeks. I'm going as the miz. his costume from summerslam 2016, when it was in brooklyn

The girl im going with, is going to go as her, too
a lot of my friends are Scottish, they wear it for holidays :D
there was a guy I knew and he was wearing kilt every day... I kind of like it... it doesn't look girly and he was a big man... I wish more men wear kilt :D
If I was attending a Scottish Wedding and I was asked to, absolutely I would. The fact that some people can't tell the difference between a kilt and a skirt is their issue.
@TommyMountainFigure Very well stated!!
@thegreenyogi Thank you.
Yes, I'm thinking of doing it as part of my William Wallace Halloween costume. Probably going to wear spandex workout shorts underneath just in case I get drunk and bust my ass, so I don't flash anyone. :).
ain't that an actual symbol of tradition and culture...
If they asked nicely, I would. William Wallace showed great defiance, i admire Scotland for that, I have considerably less admiration for the manner in which they've let England crap all over them since then, and form the United Kingdom
William Wallace lived and died long before kilts even existed; Braveheart was as historically accurate as Dumbo. And them rejoining England was an unfortunate necessity after the failure of Old New Caledonia.
Nope but if it's a tunic I'd be cool with it
Nope i don't because i'm not scottish and i wasn't raised on such traditions, in general the skirts are made for women but this scottish skirt looks allright and i don't see it wrong cause it's a part of Scotland's tradition!
Sure, I've always wanted an excuse to wear one. I imagine the breeze would feel great.
I have on a load of occasions, it’s a good look at a wedding or other formal occasion,
I often wear a ''Sarung'' at home. Voluntarily.
(It's the Indonesian/Malaysian equivalent to a 'kilt', but a little longer)
I have, to a performance of Brigadoon. I was attending, not performing.
Sure, I'd do it, especially if it was for a Scottish event, maybe the caber toss?
No need to ask. I'd wear a Kilt on my own terms. Especially if I get to carry Claymore sword as well.
Potentially, yet the context matters.
And also, a cold day, no thanks
A proper kilt is made of heavy wool; they're actually quite warm. In their original form, they were also more of a dress than a skirt; the idea was that it was a shepherd's garment that could be easily shifted to stay dry if you had to cross a river, and then also serve as a blanket at night.
According to a genealogical test I'm 34% Scottish, so yeah.🤣
But I'm not Scottish and don't have a clan.. can I make a clan and name it too or can only scots do it?
I wouldn’t unless it was necessary for some reason at a place I was going to
I would. I have Scott's on me maternal grandma's side. Plus, those guys were no sissies.
would wear one for you without doubt, do you like guys in kilts?
I am a fan of the Scottish people and their traditions and one day I would like to move to Scotland to live.
That's interesting what traditions do you like m9st? Which made you a fan?
The kilt is one of them and the importance of where Scottish people come from. And what I love the most is this fiery sense of freedom and independence that makes Scottish people strong and practically fearless. At least that's what it seems.
Interesting, yes indeed scotish are so fiery though anyone is afraid of something.
For something formal, and legit, in that culture I would. Not one of these retard events people put on without having any valid reason to.
Of course. Even bare underneath, if asked appropriately.
If the occasion called for it or shock value yes.
No. I don't like kilts.
Hell yeah, I'll even go commando in it
Yes, I am half Scottish so I would wear a Kilt.
I'm not Scottish. im Irishman
Yes, I am Scottish
Yay!!
Sure.
