What's your opinion on ripped jeans?

My parents don't like them but they let me wear them. Quite frankly, they don't like anything I wear. But here's me in my latest pair with my newest little cousin Grace who turned 1 in May.

Ngl, this kinda showed my scar on my knee, but people scrape their knees all the time so it's alright.

My wife makes me throw them away after they get ripped. I have a pair I am saving for when I sealcoat my driveway. Then I throw them away.

If you need a few bucks to get a pair that does not have holes in the knees I suggest you get a job babysitting instead of giving it away for free.

Parents, especially fathers, of daughter, are never going to like what their kids like, because they know that if they start to, their kid will start to do stuff they don't like, again

I like the tasteful 2cm tear strategically on the knee or hip, perhaps a lightly torn pocket since there's more fabric underneath the pocket.

The "shredded wheats" look is not appealing to me for a variety of reasons and has been taken too far -- to the point that some may wonder why wear anything at all if you're showing the entire leg and asscheeks?

The pants in the pick are... ok. Nothing special but nothing offensive. I wouldn't pay for that style.

No strong feelings about them. Personally, I wear jeans more for the utility of them than style, since I don't find them to be all too comfortable or aesthetically pleasing, but they're tough and good for working or kneeling on the ground. For that reason, I don't own any ripped jeans, since the holes defeat the purpose of utility... But I've still seen them look good on other people, in fashion styles that I don't dress in.

I think I figured out how it works.. At your age, you're supposed to want to rebel against expectations, and that is perfectly normal. So, people come up with all these kinds of ideas and then go around groups of older generations. If they get feedback saying they don't like something, companies will market it knowing it will be a success.

That's what my sis's say. So I buy jeggings and jeans. My jeans are all skinny/long. So them being skinny makes it more comfortable because they actually aren't flapping in the wind. lol.

I think if the rest of you is sort of torn looking or casual in a fashionable way then the jeans might be sort of okay.

If you have a very put together look like a friend of mine does and then you wear ripped up jeans, that just looks sort of stupid. My friend usually has perfect makeup and perfect jewelry and perfect hair that is very carefully styled and when she wears ripped jeans they look ridiculous on her.
