What's your opinion on ripped jeans?

They can be cute!
Obviously not professional or work attire. And I certainly wouldn't spend a ton of money on them when you can do the same thing with an old pair of jeans at home... for half the price.

With that being said, I do have some (two pairs), but I only wear them layered with some cute leggings underneath so they don't look as bad, and I can wear them I'm the autumn/winter and be warm.

It's looking like trash. Paying extra for damage goods is extremely dumb. So it really isn't flattering to wear them. Because it tells me that people can fool you to do anything. Same with buying clothes that are basically a big ad. These goods shouldn't sell and its mental that they do.

I know it's fashion but maybe I'm just a tight ass, taking perfectly good jeans, cutting slits into them and then washing them repeatedly until they're frayed looking. And then paying 80 bucks for what looks like worn out jeans. It's more about the money than the appearance, I think they look good. The fad will be over before long and it'll be something new

in my opinion, it's a stupid trend. It's one thing if you legitimately wore holes in your jeans - as a kid, I often had holes in the knees from crawling, skateboarding mishaps, etc. - but to buy purposely damaged jeans just for style is insanity to me.

And I felt the same about acid-washed jeans for the same reason - buying new clothes that are already destroyed because some fashion designer says it's stylish is mental.

I find it interesting that worn and torn jeans are ok, but any other article of clothing is considered trash. AND in most cases it's more expensive than standard jeans.
