Girls, Should I wear tights or panty hose with a black dress?

Now that fall is just around the corner, I am thinking ahead. A few years ago, nobody wore panty hose, but then two years ago Kate Middleton wore some nude colored classic panty hose. Suddenly, they were back in style too. Should I wear black tights or nude panty hose with a black dress this fall?

Depends on the dress, shoe and season. As a rule of thumb:

LENGTH: Nude (skin tone) or sheer black for a knee-length dress; opaque black for a mini.

STYLE: Nude (skin tone) or sheer black for a formal dress; opaque black for more casual.

SHOE: Stockings work best with a closed shoe. With an open shoe, typically skip the stockings and make sure to moisturize your leg with coconut oil or the equivalent that you prefer. With a peep-toe shoe you have the option to go with or without.

(Also, keep in mind that "Fall" isn't always cool enough for stockings...)

Your facts are all wrong. I'm a young girl and I wear pantyhose all the time, and so do my friends at school. Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Emma Watson and many other celebrities have worn pantyhose for more than the past 10 years. Princess Kate has worn them a lot longer than 2 years, she wore them for at least 14 years since before she became engaged to Prince William. There is no official event involving the royal family, none, where it would be appropriate for her to have bare legs.

Personally if I was really pushed into having to make a choice, I would plump for pantyhose... What I do find rather interesting is this small "copied and pasted" article.

Pantyhose are considered a type of underwear. They are sometimes also called tights, though tights are usually thicker than pantyhose (but still not opaque, like leggings.) Pantyhose usually encapsulate the feet, unlike leggings, which end at the ankle (or above).

It's summer, so I'd go with pantihose. Nude color of the dress is short, black if it's long. But that's just me

I would wear sheer black hose with a black dress...

If it's colder I would wear some cotton tights instead.
