Or the only way is to chop it off?
I always dye my hair and I’ve heard of people saying their hair fried etc
but I never actually understood what they meant. I thought they were talking about regular damage from hair dyes which can easily be fixed as I’ve done so numerous times without having to chop it. So I would think they’re just drama queens exaggerating
HOWEVER, I ordered some hair dye on Amazon which I never do. and as I got toward the middle of my hair, it literally felt as if I had put my hair on a frying pan and sizzling 🥵 😨!!
It was really hot!! I had never had that happened before. Ever.
I walked toward the AC vent and stood there to allow it to cool down.
the scalp was fresh cool and so was the hair near my head, It was all of the middle part that was really sizzling hot. Really hot!
now I showered 🚿 it all off and as it’s drying m, the parts where it was sizzling which is all the middle part, is all fried! I didn’t know what that meant before but I see it and feel it and I finally KNOW this is fried.
is there a way to restore this hair? Without chopping it off? I hate short hair. It’s unattractive to me. Is there a way to save my hair without cutting? It’ just about touched my butt. I don’t want to cut it 😭
anyone have advice?

Oh no, that sounds like such a nightmare! I'm glad you shared your story. Fried hair can be pretty stressful, but there are ways to help restore it. First, deep conditioning treatments are your new best friend. Look for products with ingredients like keratin, argan oil, and shea butter. Coconut oil treatments can also do wonders. Apply a generous amount to your damp hair, leave it on for a few hours, or even overnight, and then rinse it out.
Also, try to avoid heat styling tools for a while and always use a heat protectant when you do. Opt for gentle shampoo and conditioner that are sulfate-free. Regularly trimming the ends, even just a little, can help prevent further split ends. Please be extra gentle with your hair; use a wide-tooth comb to detangle it when wet.
If things don't improve, it might be worth getting a professional opinion from a trusted hairdresser. They might have some advanced treatments that could save your length. Your beautiful long hair deserves the best care! 🙌
