How many things do you use that use carmine?

I wouldn't be surprised if some canned things that I occasionally eat, like chili, contain it. I asked my wife and she wasn't sure either. She reads labels, too, but never noticed it.
I think it is used a lot in things like fast food, strawberry shakes, which I never have. She doesn't use bright red lipstick.
I doubt anyone has lived their life and hasn't consumed it at least once lol
0It was and still is to a small extent, a very rare and expensive dye. The color was reserved for garments worn by royalty for a while
What's 0it? Lol
Oh, carmine is quite the colorful secret, isn’t it? This natural dye pops up in so many places, mostly in beauty products like lipsticks and blushes. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the red or pink makeup I use has carmine. It's also common in food, especially in things like candies and certain yogurts. Fabrics can indeed be colored with it, but I think it's less common these days.
It’s fascinating how something from a tiny beetle can add such vibrant color to everyday items. How about you? Do you think you have any products with carmine in them?

A natural red dye called carmine frequently appears in various goods. These involve food products like candy, yogurt, and drinks; cosmetics like lipsticks and blushes; and textiles and ink. Many products that say "natural red" or "E120" probably contain carmine. It arises from cochineal insects.
I think most products I have are vegan
Bugs aren't meat tho 💀
Anything made without animal products is vegan. Bugs are animals.
I see, well it's kinda funny cause you visually look like you'd slit someone throat when they sleep but you wouldn't hurt a fly, literally 🥴
Mm I'll kill a fly but I'll catch and release spiders ☺️ 😂
Poor flies can't catch a break, even vegans kill them, that's wild 😂
Lol I'm not vegan
Now I'm confused, I gotta say doozy was a good choice for a user cause you got me doozy
What's confusing?
Vegan products but not a vegan, when you said products I thought food was included
I mean... You eat vegetables and fruits right? That's vegan...
I just tend to buy make-up and skin care that's vegan because I don't see any reason why animal products need to be in those.
I don't eat dairy because I'm allergic but I eat meat
I do but I don't really use the word vegan to say that it doesn't contain anything from animals, like my shirt is made of cotton which is a plant but I don't call it a vegan product even tho it is, I guess you using the word made me automatically assume you were a vegan, it's good to hear you put your canine teeth to good use tho ha
