How often do you cut your hair?

I have a good head of hair. My wife is a hair stylist and cuts mine every 6 or 8 weeks.

I go to her salon where she rents a her own private room. I sit in the salon chair and she can raise, lower and turn it as needed. She has a sink and all the equipment and products she needs right there. She even trims up my beard and mustache and waxes the hair on my ears.

I haven’t had my hair cut in like 6 months now but before I would get it done every 2-3 months, just getting my split ends cut off. I haven’t had a proper hair cut in 4 years now. Trying to grow it out as I miss having super long hair, I had to get most of my hair cut off back in 2020.

I was just having fun with the messy look. The different persona. And the feeling of rebelliousness that came with it. I was able to pull off a shoulder length bob and did some feathery looking stuff. It wasn’t consistent so after a while the asymmetry was quite noticeable. I had to let it grow out a bit and stop cutting emphasis Into it.

I will add to this... A hair cut costs what? Do you tip? That per week to have a stylish cut like I have.

I cut my hair and a penny saved is a penny earned. Yeah it didn't always look good, but now I'm better than getting it done at some supercuts that will fuck it up. I basically make about $30 a week by cutting my own hair.

But that's just my two cents extra, but my original answer was about once a week.

Prior to being severely weakened by a heart attack with two accompanying cardiac arrest episodes earlier this year, I shaved my head on a daily or every other day basis.
These days, I'm lucky to have the stamina to groom my pate on a weekly schedule.

I feel like a crum bum after two days of grow-out.

If it were possible, I'd have my entire body except for my eyebrows be made permanently hair-free.

depends. i have heard you are supposed to cut it about once a month, i think? but i feel like my hair gets worn so diffrently? i rarely cut my hair, but this last year i have cut it several times cause its dry and awful (which was caused by a lot of stress.)

I cut 2 of them a couple days ago. They looked as though they may be split so, I cut off the "split" bits. Other than that, except for getting a slight trim 2 or 3 times to get rid of split ends, I haven't had my hair cut since late June, 1989.
