I've seen the struggles my black friend I lived with had to go through with his hair. My hair is considered wavy and curls a lot more when I grow it shoulder length or so... and if I don't put some grease in it, it frizzes up. Obviously, I would steal my black housemate's hair stuff a lot.

Now, with all of that said, I would much prefer to have flat straight hair if I had my choice. That's what I would prefer for myself because it looks easier to maintain and I wouldn't have to use all this bullshit to manage my hair.

If the question is directed as to what I prefer on others... I have to admit I have a thing for that 1980's crimped hair look. You know like when those deranged racist white women want to pretend they're black and they crimp the shit out of their hair? Yeah I'd steal her racist panties and sniff them.

I agree that straight hair is easy to maintain because I can’t believe that all one has to do is keep it clean and brush it. I got a perm once and I’m never doing that again. With straight hair, you wake up with good hair!

On others who prefer to be more hirsute than myself, I'd choose wavy, straight, then curly, in that order, depending on the person's overall look and demeanor.

@nolabels That, I can deal with. It's when people have a full head of hair, especially long hair, and then shave it all off just to be as "cool" as every other skinhead thinks THEY are for having a chrome dome.
I used to have a friend, Bobby Lennartz, who had long blonde hair down to his knees and then, one day, he shaved it all off in sympathy for his brother who'd recently died of cancer and was bald because of that chemo bullshit. Bob died 20 or 30 years ago. Anyway, again, that, I can deal with. I shaved mine off, too, back in June of `89! It was in protest to a wedding I didn't condone and a haircut I was forced to get FOR the wedding, which I had NO intention of attending!
