Why do girls wear tight sportswear, guys less so?

I support anyone to wear anything they like, but I wondered what your thoughts are on girls wearing very tight, revealing sports wear (often showing their butt crack, camel toe and nips), while guys wear loser stuff?

Would it be appropriate for a guy to go to the gym or walk down a street in tight shorts that show the outline of his dick and his state of arousal?

I'm cool with whatever but wondered why the tight sportswear trend hasn't happened for guys?
