Why do people treat me like I have aids?

I scraped a huge layer of nails with scissors until it’s very thin and my nails still appear dark. It’s not my fault that my nails grow dark. People look at my nails and treat me like I have a disease or I have dirt on and under my nails but my nails grow darker and have dark lines which I didn’t chose. How do I deal? I can’t remove my nails, it’s not dirty, it’s naturally dark and has dark lines. I was born like this

To me it looks normal but I can't imagine scraping would help. Nails are white normally and then your skin comes trough giving it the usual color. Dark skin i'd expect dark nails. Technically you could always go the nail polish route but personally i'd say let the idiots talk and don't be bothered about it.
