I haven't found one mascara that doesn't make me have raccoon eyes after a few hours. Is it my application, the product, prepping?

If this doesn't happen to you, how do you prep, which mascara do you use, and how many swipes do you put on?

I wonder if it's because I have hooded eyelids or maybe too many swipes... help!
