I'm 35 now and I've noticed my beard is still reddish, but my actual hair is turning more brown than red. Pretty sure it's been that way a while becaise someone will still comment in my red hair and I'll be like wtf are they talking about? I suppose it looks more red in places with better light than what my bathroom has. That's about the only time I look in the mirror is at home lol

Redheads often experience a unique change as they age. Instead of turning gray, many redheads see their hair gradually fade to a lighter shade, possibly sandy or strawberry blonde, before it eventually goes white. It's pretty common for this shift to be gradual and for different parts, like the beard, to retain more red pigmentation than others. Lighting can definitely play tricks, making your hair appear redder in certain conditions 😊.
