Are men more manly looking with beards and mustaches?

I think my husband looks more manly with one. Sure it scratches me and tickles my ear when he kisses me. But I enjoy the look now.

I have a full beard at the moment. I keep it cut fairly short. 16 mm around the nose and mouth tapering to 9mm for the rest. I get mixed reactions which isn't surprising.

A couple of weeks ago a friend introduced me to a woman he knows because she happened to sit down beside us. The first words out of her mouth were, "I don't like men with facial hair". Well alrighty then, LOL. Hi, nice to meet you too.

Other women tell me it looks good, or handsome, or rugged. Some of them are probably just being polite. Lots of women, lots of different opinions. As you'd expect.

Can't take men without beards seriously. They look like little boys or sometimes look like women. I've had a beard since my early 20s and never will shave it off. Just trim and keep it neat with beard balm.

If it is only for the purpose of looking manly, most male faces do not look "womanly". Only certain features give you the thought that "he would have been beautiful of he were a woman". Then perhaps the guy could take meaningful support of a beard.

Beard only makes you look older; not more manly.

No, they just look different.  I see your point of view to be the same as comparing a male lion to a male tiger, and calling the lion more masculine because it has a mane and the tiger doesn't.

That's subjective, but I personally think yes.  In almost every scenario, if not all... clean shaven looks more boyish and beards look more masculine
