Yes a lot of the more designer bikinis are ridiculously expensive for what they are. But there are plenty of cheap alternatives, no one is forced to buy them

  Not sure if available in the US, but but some of my cheap stuff is from tezenis or new yorker. Can get a set for 15-20€. Of course there's always shein and stuff like that but quality can really be hit and miss. For some medium priced options I like ohpolly, white fox, calzedonia...

  I'm in the UK so probably no use to you naming shops. But last year my girlfriend got a black bikini in the end of season sale for £6 and she loves it, she says its comfortable and she looks great in it
