Why is bald considered weird in society?

I've seen it talked about like shaving your head bald is a bad thing, what's the reasons behind this you think?

To answer all those of you that is asking 'who said its weird' mostly a lot of people i know really.. They just say stuff like if you have hair you shouldn't be bald as its weird to do that in their views really..

I mean how can it be "weird" when literally so many adult men are bald? Lol? I don't know the exact percentage of men who are bald, but I heard it's something like 50% and upwards by a certain age.

Though being bald is definitely more "normal" when you are older as opposed to younger. A bald 20 year old would be pretty uncommon. A bald 50 year old not uncommon at all.

It is just one end of the spectrum of hair cutting. I go for a #0 cut mostly out of laziness. Don't need to dry it off after a shower, no need to comb it. I've never had any comments and at a point did shave it bald.

But that requires putting in effort on my appearance and I have already said I am lazy.

I didn't realize it was considered weird. Lots of guys are bald.

I've been shaving my head for 20 years, and I've gotten nothing but compliments.

I only asked as like everyone I know in my friend groups online say they think it is a bit weird for someone who has hair to just go and shave it when they aren't thinning and such.

Because it reminds some Women of their dads and they just don't find it that attractive but I think most Women don't care about it that much.

Simply because it's less common. It was also associated with aging men, who aren't valued highly in western cultures these days.
