it seems like i only meet one’s who says they don’t like any makeup but then they pull up a girl with “natural makeup”. do guys genuinely like a girl with nothing at all. i’m talking acne, hyperpigmentation, just genuine no makeup
Teen agers don't need any makeup. And it's doesn't make sense for anyone to wear makeup when doing sports and outdoor things.
But when a woman gets dressed up, she looks best with makeup. Most guys would probably agree that the "no makeup" makeup look is best, though. There is an art to applying makeup so that it doesn't look obvious.
Mascara, subtle eye liner and very subtle eye shadow to accentuate the eyes. Concealer and other products cover shadows and even out skin tones. Lip gloss or lipstick accentuate lips and make them look soft, moist and appealing.
Eye lashes and eye liner can be black if she has dark hair. But they should be brown if she has light hair. The same with eye brows.
Fake eye lashes are fine if they look natural. But fake-looking eye lashes are grotesque.
Obvious face paint and gaudy lipstick looks low class.
But the right makeup makes a woman glow and look fresh without concealing her natural features.
I like the fact that makeup maximizes women's femininity and differentiates them from men as much as possible. I also like it when women's faces and bodies are soft, smooth and devoid of hair. Those things emphasize the qualities of sexual dimorphism that make women look so appealing.
I'm not into caveman, bohemian, au naturale, unisex at all.
A bunch of guys are saying "we like..." or "guys like..." or something similar and they simply do not speak for me, nor do I speak for them.
My preferences often differ to other men, some of whom put a lot of emphasis on facial attraction and some of them like makeup since a girl's face is the most important part of how she looks for them. That's not the case for me - I care about whether a girl has the body that I want and a face that is not detestable to me, so most girls suffice in the facial department.
Believe it or not, there are some girls with visible acne whose faces I find pleasurable to look at since they may have a certain bone structure or eye structure that I like. The acne is often neutral/very insignificant when it comes to how much I like her face.
The problem I face nowadays is that it seems very obvious that some women think they suffice if they just put makeup on their faces, meanwhile their body, which is what I'm really interested in visually, is not at all what I want it to be. For some context, I want a woman that has abs. She doesn't need to have anything else (big breasts, big butt, etc.), in fact, it's better if she has nothing else. Any woman with at least a normal looking face (I can't stress how much I mean it when I say "normal") that also has abs and a body as I described will have a SIGNIFICANT advantage when it comes to how much I find them attractive.
The thing is most men can't tell, when a woman is wearing makeup, unless it's very obvious (eg. such as bold red lipstick, full blown smokey eyes etc), even if they claim the opposite. When they say they prefer women with "no makeup", what they usually mean is makeup in very natural, or earthy tones mimicking her natural features (think of a my lips but better lipstick shade vs bold red lips, a very light coat of mascara, etc.)
They don't actually like women with no makeup at all.. Proof if you show up without under-eye concealer at work, or college, you will get asked whether you're feeling well "you look tired. Are you sure you're getting enough sleep?" (Even though in some cases dark circles can be genetic)
i don’t think guys can actually tell!!😅🙈😅 in my opinion guys usually seem to think full glam makeup is “normal makeup” and no makeup makeup is literally zero makeup🙈 soo i think all the men that always say they like girls without makeup just mean they like a no makeup makeup look better than full glam look💃🏻💄💅

When we say no makeup we truly mean no makeup. If we like you wearing minimal makeup we will say that.

Both men and women are attracted to beauty, this is the same as in the animal kingdom.
A women with a natural pretty face dont need as much make up as girl with a more average looking face. A man will be more attracted to the pretty face with less make up then the average girl with less make up.
This has got to do with natural selection, there is noway around this. Attractiveness is the first thing that we humans see and what our primitive mind (only) went after in the good old days
A women who sees a man with good looking arms will look at him more than for example my spaghetti arms. This also has to do with natural selection and nature choosing for us. As the male with bigger arms have a greater chance of producing a stronger offspring.
So a women that oozes sex and maybe has good body, nice eyes, face etc. will by our natural selection be more interesting to us that the average looking body and face.
Its what men a programmed to look at and reproduce with.
Although I must say when it comes to makeup, there is such a thing as too much makeup witch is prevelant in teenage girls just as too much cologne is present in teenage boys.
Seldom a girl need to put on a ton of makeup to be attractive to someone. So there is a line of course with the whole makeup question for men. It can also indicate red flags such a mental health issues, a poor personality or someone who is insecure or even a tramp.
We just don't like women that look fake.
Some makeup is fine. Low key, understated, and natural looking makeup is great, but if your face is buried under 10 lbs of chalk, and you look like a completely different person without it; that's ridiculous.
Also, yes: we do like women with no makeup at all, too, because if we're going to date someone, that's who we're going to wake up next to. We like women that are comfortable in their own skin, natural and relaxed.
We like a woman in sweatpants and a T-shirt, that can we can cuddle with on the couch. We want the real woman, not the one that she feels like she has to present to the rest of the world. We like the woman that is just herself with us.
I like all natural women. All natural women can be really attractive. Some make up looks good too but I like it when she doesn't always wear make up.
All natural women rock. No extra piercings. No tattoos, No fake boobs and cosmetic surgery, not too extreme on the make up, hair grown out natural.
It was the 90s and 2000s when women started getting more and more fake and more and more rebellious (blue hair with tons of freaky piercings, covered in tattoos, non feminine clothes... the point, rebelling against a traditional feminine look... not because traditional is bad or ugly, it is just rebellion, I don't want anyone telling me what to do so I'll do the opposite of what most of society finds pleasant and appealing).
Maybe the tide will swing back and women will go more for natural in the future.
Men generally like women w out makeup who are naturally gorgeous. So if she’s an ugmo although makeup can cover a lot of that to make her look flawless, once she takes it off it’s a different story. My girl hasn’t worn makeup for 18 years now cause I don’t care for it. Sure she might put on some if we go out on a special occasion or something, but she doesn’t wear it on a daily basis. Which I love. A lot of men are good w little to no make up if she’s naturally pretty according to a majority of men. I say that because women will tell each other girl you’re gorgeous. But that’s not usually by men’s standards. Meaning would a lot of men sleep w her that’s what I mean by men’s standards.

For some reason women never believe this. They simply ignore what guys say and make all kinds of excuses why it's not true.
I much prefer no makeup. Like none at all. Yes, makeup can improve a woman's looks. But I'd rather she didn't use it at all.
I'm not speaking for all guys, but I prefer a natural look, that's none or minimal makeup. Of course, she can wear whatever makeup she wants.
We guys look at it this way. When we wake up in the morning with her beside us, what does she look like? That is the woman we know., and it's rarely with makeup.
Yes in My case! Makeup is a turn off for me in and of itself. That's not to say that grooming, leg& armpit shaving and self care are any less important, just a no to the makeup for me. Taking care of Yourself without makeup > than taking care of yourself while wearing it
Guys are not keen on women putting make up, women use make for their own self confidence and self esteem. Guys usually like the way a woman looks naturally but they don't say it out loud most of the time because they know how attached and obsessed we are with our made up artificial looks.
Guys are attracted to attractive women. Attractive women look good without make up. If you think you need make up to look attractive, then guess what, you're not attractive. Normal people's skin isn't all fucked up with acne and hyper-pigmentation. It gets that way by constantly rubbing chemicals all over your face every fucking day.
Beauty is a wonderful thing & natural beauty is absolutely wonderful as well. As for a girl that wears makeup there is nothing wrong if she wants to put a little on however if she over does it I’m not crazy about it & wonder what she’s hiding or trying to hide.
As for me I have dated some real knockouts & one girl put on so much makeup it was like kissing a powered donut.

I don't know about other guys, but I very much dislike makeup because I dislike anything that's fake or deceptive. Even if it makes the girl look better, I'd rather see how she really looks. But, I think, most of the time, I think girls look better without the makeup. With makeup, their lips look unnaturally contrasted and their face looks so featureless it makes it generic and sterile and takes away all personality. I like to see a girl's natural beauty. I often look up what celebrities I like look like without makeup, and I've also seen side-by-side comparison pages for random girls, and I usually or often prefer the non-makeup version.
What guys mean by that is, they don't want to get shocked by a massive change. After the honeymoon phase is over, you'll stop wearing make up around your man. When that inevitably happens, he doesn't want to be shocked by the stark difference between yourself with makeup vs without makeup.
Natural makeup doesn't look super artificial.
Basic make up which slightly enhances your look like eyeliner , lipstick, bit of blush rtc is good but I also thought too much make up actually made the beautiful women look ugly and unattractive so keep it light natural is more beautiful to me
I like girls to put some effort into their appearance. If she looks like a China doll that will crack if she smiles, it is too much.
We like girls to be feminine and it is femme. So what is the complaint. They were using ochre for blush 40,000 years ago.
I prefer to see HER, NOT the mask she puts on. SOME make-up, I can deal with. Just not caked on so thick that, every time she smiles a chunk of it falls off!! Although it'd CERTAINLY help someone like Kathy Griffin!!

I cannot speak for all men... just myself but makeup is dependent on context. Going out for a hike or a canoe well who wants to wear makeup? Natural looks best. But a nice dinner and a show some classy makeup is appropriate.
I have a pretty good complexion and makeup (foundation specifically) causes me to break out so it’s really rare that I wear it. Sometimes I wear eyeliner and mascara for fun, but my fiancé typically prefers how I look without it. He is pretty bad at telling tho so I don't know how accurate it is. He has complimented my makeup before when I wasn’t wearing any, my face just looked brighter than normal
no we do like it for sure. it seems more genuine, more "real". less fake and we'll feel more open and trusting around them. it's immediately more intimate too. i would say men who like girls with lots of make up are quite shallow and not into personal connection, which i'm not saying it's a bad thing. to each their own i guess.
I think there are a lot of different kind of guys. I'm a make up artist and I'm a creative person in general, so I love colorful an creative make up. Some guys saw my make up as a very attractive part of me.
I wish fakeup never existed. It genuinely makes the majority of women look like clowns and extremely fake.
Men are attracted to the natural features women have. Not then crap they use on their face.
I think by nature makeup is a lie. No one likes to be lied to. But yet everyone (male or female) enjoys a fantasy. Somewhere between lie and fantasy is where the answer to your question lies. Guys like a woman that is wearing makeup subtle enough that it appears she's wearing none.

I like no makeup I also like minimal makeup when going out. By minimal I mean like nothing too over the top that takes forever especially when its just to go to the shops or whatever.
I think guys THINK it is true. But, it isn’t really. Guys just think girls are only wearing makeup when they overdo the makeup, so in their minds they don’t like that and the other option (they think) is “no makeup.” JMO!

Acne and hyper-pigmentation are not a problem if the girl is hot.
I definitely don't like makeup such as: blusher, lipstick, eye shadow and other crap like that.

Its more nuanced than whether we do or don't... We prefer minimal makeup, and not claw lashes, and packed on makeup.. I don't mind enhancements, just not splashed on the face.. But also different guys prefer different things.. Of course..
Some guys genuinely like a natural look, but preferences vary a lot—what matters more is confidence and how comfortable she feels in her own skin. A guy who’s right for you will appreciate you whether you wear makeup or not, acne and all.

The way I interpret it, they like natural looking or very little makeup; like, just enough to look presentable and like you take care of yourself.
I'd like a girl that is actually attractive enough to not need makeup. The problem is that so many of them actually aren't attractive and they use makeup to try to hide that.

I would say that something like one out of 500 women look better with no makeup. Not many women can pull that off. They have to have a certain kind of natural look.

The guys who say they like girls who don't wear any make-up are guys who have never seen a woman's completely natural face. Guys, it's not for the faint of heart.
Most straight guys don't understand makeup. Usually natural-looking makeup is what guys will call "no makeup". But if you watch instagram you see women layering 12 different things on their faces. That's way too much.
I'm perfectly happy with it. My wife wears very little when we are out, and none at home.
